Only stayed for one night on a round trip on the coast but was a lovely place.
Staff were friendly and the food was great.
Would definitely go again and would recommend to anyone.

Stayed in a ground floor annex room. The bedroom and space were ok but the bathroom needed a refurb - the grout round the shower was mouldy and the taps etc looked grubby. There was a fridge which was useful in the room. The main door to the annex could do with being replaced as looked very old and worn and the main door in the room was very scratched. Breakfast on all days was lovely and staff very welcoming. Recommend the pancakes as delicious. The main hotel looked newer and less shabby so this could be replicated in the annex to make them more joined together.

Stayed for work due to convenience. Staff in the restaurant were great and accommodating however was unable to get a good night sleep due to the racket the plumbing made in the middle of the night. The radiators really need to come with a warning.

Firstly, a massive thank you for a wonderful stay. Me & my 6yr old son felt welcome from start to when we left. From both South Sand Hotel staff to RockSalt restaurant staff. Honestly, if only you knew how sad and low I was feeling and being here has cheered my spirit right up!!! Thank you again. While passing we saw a sign advertising Breakfast, lunch and dinner, placed outside with an arrow pointing in. We thought we would give it a go. Drove around to the rear and found ourselves is a rather uneven gravel car park with rubbish and builders rubble. Felt rather put off by this, but still went in. The Salt Rock bar seemed smart, tables set out with condiments and menus. We asked if we could sit to order food, but we’re told they were not serving food! Seemed odd as it is a restaurant with a sign inviting customers in to eat. Can’t comment on the food as we didn’t have any, and we won’t be back to try it either.

We had a very comfortable nights stay here,a lovely double room overlooking the sea,very clean and well equipped. Friendly staff and good service. Breakfast was very nice,quality ingredients cooked well although it could’ve been hotter. The hotel is an ideal place to stay if you’re visiting WSM but prefer a more relaxed environment. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

‘Salt Rock’ bistro lunch service finished at 2.30, we arrived 10 minutes later. After a smile to Ian, he spoke to the chef and we were in! Just the two of us but the food and service was excellent. The menu was varied and all prepared to order. We can thoroughly recommend and we will return when next in the area.

I needed to stay in Weston overnight due to a family member having surgery at Weston Hospital, as I don’t live locally. Was originally going to book into a large chain hotel, but found this little gem to be both competitively priced and with a hot breakfast included. Plenty of parking, a delicious meal in the evening, quiet dual aspect room with bathtub to enjoy a soak after a long and stressful day, comfy bed and pillows, and an amazing cooked breakfast. Also, as a gluten free customer, I was delighted to find the menu was very gluten free friendly. The staff were friendly and welcoming too, especially Sarah during check in and dinner and Michelle at breakfast. Heads up to the chefs too. It was absolutely fantastic!
