Amber Springs Hotel

Not sure if it should be a four star hotel after seeing the sign at the breakfast door having to ask guests to not wear pj's to breakfast...never stayed in a hotel where the guests had to be told to get dressed . The lobby and grounds are all very nice and the room was very clean but our sink was badly cracked, also the plates and condiments at the restaurant and breakfast were chipped and cracked. We were disappointed with the first mornings breakfast as the fruit was sour as it must have been left over from the previous day, the orange juice was like a diluted orange drink. Yet the next morning it was all lovely. In the restaurant two of us ordered steaks both asked for medium but one was over done and one was fine. The pepper sauce came in nasty plastic pots which is an unnecessary waste of plastic. They charge for everything and ask for deposits for even the table tennis ball. Our last trip was to Sligo Park Hotel where for the same rates the children were given complimentary ice cream and free drink and popcorn or crisps at the film and all the hotel sports equipment was handed out free of charge Most disappointing was lack of a family changing room , my husband brought my daughters to the pool but could only bring them to change in the men's changing room. In a large family hotel surely there could a room allocated to families changing.

We recently stayed at Amber Springs Hotel in Gorey to celebrate our little boy’s 4th birthday, and it truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and well looked after. The hotel is spotless, beautifully presented, and clearly designed with families in mind. Our son had an unforgettable birthday – he absolutely loved the fantastic play zone and the mini farm, which kept him entertained for hours. The facilities are brilliant for kids, and there was a lovely balance between fun activities for them and relaxation for us. The kids’ areas are safe, well-staffed, and thoughtfully planned out. Dining was another highlight – the food was delicious with plenty of choice for both adults and children. We had a great meal at the Farm Steakhouse and were impressed by the friendly, attentive service throughout our stay. It was a truly special experience and a birthday we’ll always remember. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back and highly recommend Amber Springs to any family looking for a fun, relaxing break with little ones in mind.

Fantastic place for kids. You don’t have to worry about the weather , both indoor and outdoor activities. Highly recommend. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much. Rooms were spotless and fresh towels every day. Pool facilities spotless

A wonderful experience for all the family, plenty of activities for the kids. Room was spotless clean and perfect for our Family. Food and service was excellent with plenty of options for everyone. Well priced for the whole experience and worth a return visit.

I’m gutted we only stayed the one night. I will be booking again for my family. My son loved it. We arrived early and was out on a list to get a room the minute it becomes available. While we waited we had use of the pool and all the facilities. It is so clean. So much to do for children which made the stay so much easier for my husband and I. The breakfast is out of this world. I would go again solely knowing that I would get that breakfast again.
