Cortez Motel

I recently stayed at this motel for one night with my daughter, and overall, it was fine for a short stay. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and having a jacuzzi was a nice bonus. The location is convenient, close to town and the shopping center, with decent parking. It was also pleasantly quiet at night. The only downsides were a strange smell in the room, which didn’t seem to go away, and the carpet, which looked quite old. The small stove was also very slow for cooking. Aside from these issues, everything was good.

Awful. Bad service, horrible rooms, poor parking spaces. Our stay at Cortez Motel was not good at all! Our room was rotting and had cracks in the ceiling and wall. When we tried to check in, the eftpos machine wasn't working due to a "comms" error, but didn't try to come up with a different solution. Then when we tried to check out the next morning, the office wasn't open, ( the sign on the door says they open at 8am) it was 8:15 and we had to leave otherwise we would be late to an advent we were going to. We left the key on the table inside the room and left the door unlocked then left and called at 8:30 to tell them about it. I couldn't understand half the things the lady was saying it was a little frustrating trying to talk to her. Not a good experience and won't be going back. Really disappointed as the pictures give off the indication that the place is amazing. It's not.
