Whitstable

Where do I start. Firstly the room as expected was clean and tidy, which I’ve come to expect with Premier. We arrived just before dinner and decided to eat there, as meals are usually ok. I know they are making changes but the food was terrible. My wife and I had fish and chips, cold chips and powdery tasting fish. My mother had chicken goujons which were like rubber. Coffee was tasteless. Moving on to the morning after a good sleep as we were very tired after a long journey. Shower, ours was cold, we could not get hot water. This was remedied after talking to the reception. Breakfast. We were booked in for 9am. There was no cooked breakfast until nearly 9.45am and because everyone was waiting was gone in a flash so another wait until more was cooked. The only other time we ate there was the last morning which was cooked on request and had to wait 1hr for it. I must add that I think it was all down to being under staffed. The poor lad having to book people in was also taking orders being a waiter and having to clean tables. This guy should be given a medal. I asked at reception if we could change rooms due to trouble for the ladies getting in and out of the bath. This was never addressed, consequently my wife had a fall on the last morning. Lastly you now get two different WiFi signals one is free the other as usual for greedy businesses wasn’t. The free speed was limited to 0.8mb/s Terrible. So after many years of using Premier inns, this will be my last.

Amazing staff and food so good. Stephen in the restaurant works so hard, goes above and beyond he’s fabulous. The best staff member. Lovely clean room. Just loved it sad to come home. Stayed 3 years ago has great stay as well. Will deffo be back

Myself and my Husband stayed here for 1 night asked a house keeper (Emma) for a clean whilst out excellent job and service will book in again here a lovely friendly environment and will recommend to friends and family. Also very much looking forward to the new restaurant opening!!!!

This was our second stay for a week at PI Whitstable. The hotel is tired and dated and in need of some TLC. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable although the pillows are lumpy. The bed was more comfortable and pillows better during our first stay in March. However the saving grace of this hotel is the staff who are absolutely lovely especially Lewis or as he likes to be called, 'the cute one' :-). He is knowledgeable, helpful and has an incredible sense of humour and people skills and made our stay much better. We didn't eat at the restaurant this time due to a bad experience the first time. PI Whitstable should not be advertising dinner when in fact it is a microwaved meal. Our one and only experience was so bad. Don't eat at the restaurant for dinner. Breakfast is good though. Thanks Lewis, Shahia and all the other staff members - I think you are the reason people come back.

Good budget hotel with reasonable amenities and friendly staff. I would advise seeking elsewhere for breakfast as not worth the added price. Prepare for a warm evening as room temperature hard to adjust. Require a drive to get to Whitatable.
