The VIP Family Motel

Pros: nice front desk staff, pretty outdoor decor, overall clean place. Cons: noisy air conditioner directly above bed, small tv (pc monitor size), no WiFi, long walk to boardwalk, hardest beds ever laid on, no outlets near bed to charge device.

This is my third trip to the VIP Family Motel and every time I’m blown away by how impeccable this place is. My extended family has been going to Wildwood Crest for over 50 years and there is no need to look any further. The VIP has wonderful, old school charm, but with all the modern conveniences. A family operated gem on the Jersey shore!!

It was my first time at the VIP and it’s a wonderful place, impeccably clean and so well taken care of. It’s family run and they are so friendly and accommodating. It’s obvious that they take great pride in their motel. I’m looking forward to going back in July!

This is the first year that our family has stayed at the VIP Family Motel and hopefully it will be the first of many. The owners are amazing. Melissa made us feel welcome the moment we entered the office. The staff is friendly, courteous and very professional. The rooms are absolutely spotless I have never stayed in a motel with this level of cleanliness. It truly surpassed my expectations. Anything that you need the staff is very willing to provide. The children’s playground area, or “the park” as my grandchildren call it is an awesome place of entertainment for them. Numerous slides, a sandy beach, swings and a pirate ship are the highlights of the park. There is a deck with three rocking chairs where parents can sit and watch their children play. The motel is a half block from the beach and across the street from the conference park. There is ample parking and you don’t have to worry about leaving and not finding a spot when you come back. The guests who stay here have been coming back each year with some families coming more than 30 years. It is my hope that my family will be doing the same. Our family has been coming to the VIP for 30 years now. I can't imagine a day where we don't go to Wildwood and don't go to the VIP. The pool is great, the patio is the perfect hangout spot. The rooms are always clean and well taken care of by the wonderful owners. You're only a block from the beach and a mile from the boardwalk. The playground and the pirate ship are my 8 year olds go to hangout spots. She started yelling "Ship" as we pulled in on our first day. Can't wait to be back in 2023!

Long overdue review from Summer 2021 - looking forward to the next visit in Summer 2022! We stayed in August 2021 with my wife and two-year old daughter, and honestly it was the best vacation we had all year! Almost immediately upon staying here, you can tell that the location was very well-thought out for families: swimming pool with a children section (shallow part of pool), rooms with a kitchenette, and a playground with a cool wooden ship structure and sand to play with. Also very close to the beach and a nice pavilion/lawn. However, the best part was the staff; they actually take a ton of pride in what they do, and are proactive - specifically in what ways they can be of help - from housekeeping services to restaurant recommendations. Very consistent, high-level of service. Just booked for this coming summer - excited and highly recommend.
