We stayed at Hibiscus Beach House, Jan Thiel, Curacao during April 2022. We found the accommodation to be perfect for either a quiet relaxing holiday or as a base to tour the island. Our hosts Martin and Diana are perfect and full of knowledge regarding the best beaches to visit, the tastiest restaurants to dine at and the most interesting parts of the island to see. The accommodation is exquisitely comfortable. We stayed in the superior room with views of both the garden and pool, complete with air conditioning and mosquito net. We were there on a bed and breakfast basis, we found the food to be varied and tasty, with home made delicacies. It’s around a 3 minute walk to Jan Thiel beach with the bus stopping directly outside the accommodation to take you to Willemstad and beyond through the transport network. Our overall opinion of Hibiscus Beach House is that it’s the perfect place all round with the most charming of hosts Diana and Martin and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

We recently(May 27-June 3rd) spent our 15 year anniversary at Hibiscus Beach House and had an absolute dream vacation. The patio, pool, cabana, and hammocks made for peaceful mornings and afternoons when we were not exploring all that Curaçao had to offer. It’s easy to lose yourself at this delightful bed and breakfast. We stayed in the new studio apartment, and felt like it was our home away from home. It was very private, clean and comfortable and a wonderful place to lay our heads together at night. Breakfast was a highlight everyday and started each day perfectly. Resist the temptation to go all inclusive for a romantic getaway and look no further than Hibiscus Beach House.

Hospitality was consistent & exemplary with vehicle, transfer and tour offers readily made. Amenities, aircon, WiFi, refrig and security were all very good; no tv, thankfully. Housekeeping and breakfast offerings were fine. At breakfast, poolside, and under the palapa, mosquitoes and no-see-ems required an application of repellent. Pool was clean and had about 5m in swimming length. Good availability of pool/beach towels and clothes lines. Closest, somewhat reasonable food stops were Koko’s, Kyoto, Mojitos & Bites, and the VDT supermarket. Best inexpensive, (i.e. , roadside) room was the one closest the front door; the other was a bit cramped. (The double-paned glass muffled the busy road noises except the loudest , nighttime motorbikes.) Bus stop was just out the front gate for a bus to Willemstad’s Punda terminal (southern routes), then a walk across the pontoon bridge led to the Otrobanda bus terminal for northern bus lines. HBH had 5 well-maintained guest units and an aim was for ancillaries (vehicle rentals, tours, transfers).

It was the perfect place to enjoy our vacation in Curaçao. Very friendly owners who were helpfull and gave us good advice. The B&B is beautifull and is just 2 minutes away from the beach of Jan Thielbaai. We had a great time here and hope to come back some day.

Zoek je een toplocatie op curacao, dan ben je bij hibiscus beach house aan het goede adres! Midden in het drukke Jan Thiel. Maar dit is een oase van rust, gezelligheid en super vriendelijke eigenaren. En een top ontbijt, elke ochtend wat anders door de eigenaren zelf bereid. Eigenlijk wil ik deze fantastische locatie voor ons zelf houden!!

Een oase van rust in Jan Thiel. Heerlijk ontbijt, super vriendelijke mensen en heel erg schoon. Kamer zeer ruim en op 1 minuut lopen van het strand. Echt een plekje om naar terug te keren en nu langer dan voor vier nachten.

Tolle Gastgeber - sehr schöner Garten mit kleinem Pool und sehr saubere, gemütlich eingerichtete Zimmer mit Kühlschrank und Wasserkocher sowie Kaffee-und Teezubehör. Auch das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich und ließ keine Wünsche offen. Die Unterkunft ist auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.
