2-Star Hotels in Willows

What a great surprise after all the bad reviews. They are now out of date. We just needed a place to sleep and went with the low price. Everything in our room was new except the tub/shower/surround, which was clean. The room would not have been out of place in a hotel at four times the price. Memory foam mattress was great. Long counter/workspace. Single king room felt very large and had a small couch. Room was very quiet despite nearby freeway. Outside of building and parking lot are very brightly lit--felt safe. Lobby is probably now the nicest Rodeway Inn lobby in the country. Front desk clerk was polite and efficient, though not exactly cheerful or enthusiastic. Room cleaning was a little haphazard--dust on back of bed, drink rings on bedside. Hallways aren't finished yet, looks like the old, nasty hallway carpet will be the last thing to go. I rarely leave reviews, but someone is obviously trying to turn this place around and deserves some credit.

Our Super 8 Willows hotel is close to both I-5 and Highway 162. Get plenty of rest in one of our spacious and comfortable non-smoking rooms. We are a great place to stay when you visit Thunderhill Raceway Park Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge Complex or the Sacramento River.

Very good service

This is a very modern hotel with clean, spacious rooms. Music playing in the hallways and a pretty pool and jacuzzi area. They have a hot breakfast, and serve high protein chobani greek yogurt, which I have never seen at a hotel! Most just offer the high sugar yoplait yogurts. This hotel is in a rural area close to a wildlife sanctuary, and the birds have taken up residence in the roof. When I arrived about 6:30 in the evening, the pool area was full of bird doo, even the chairs. In the morning the maintenance man was cleaning. They may need to clean twice a day. I enjoyed sitting in the jacuzzi and watching the birds, I'm glad they have not removed the nests. The morning staff were very polite and helpful. Cons: The young woman evening desk clerk was rude and condescending. It may have been too much for her handling a hotel full of checking- in guests by herself. The doors and windows don't offer any soundproofing; I could hear every word people said outside. This hotel is near a racetrack, so if you want peace and quiet pick a time when the hotel 's not full of a racecar group staying here and revving up their motors in the morning.
