Booked two weeks before the stay via internet. Upon arrival it turned out that ALL facilities (dining room, bar, terrace) were closed to us due to a reservation by a group. Upon checking in I told the employee that I was unpleasantly surprised by this. "If I had known that, I certainly would not have made a reservation". The young man indicated that he understood that, he would have "the boss" come. The lady who then came gave no apology or even understanding for our disappointment. I repeated that if we had known this, we certainly would not have made a reservation. "Then you should have called us before you made a reservation... you didn't, so... I can't do anything about that." I indicated that in such a situation I would have expected from a customer-oriented company that not I, but THEY would call, so that I could decide whether or not to cancel the reservation... The lady indicated that she found that a ridiculous demand... (So we strongly differ in opinion about customer focus) The room also had two unpleasant surprises: A number of very large dirty stains in the carpet A completely paintless balcony (many years of overdue maintenance). There is very little left of the quality of Stad Munster. For us this was a very negative experience.
