DO NOT STAY HERE. We were given what felt like a cupboard room. I’ve also read a review for the room from April 24 and nothing has been improved. The room was foisty, stuffy and first impressions were smelly and like walking into a cupboard. The door was tiny in comparison to the door next to us, and could hardly open it due to a latch key, where your hand could get stuck trying to pull the handle. We booked a standard double and walked into 2 single beds, which couldn’t be moved together due to the bedside table fastened to the wall. When sitting on the bed it felt like the mattress fell through to the divan base! The same plug socked reviewed before was still broken where the kettle was placed. The bathroom felt like an outdated council house. The window hardly opened to freshen up the room, and seemed broken at the bottom. We didn’t like to risk forcing it. The tiny TV in the corner seemed to be about 20 years old. One you might have set up in a caravan. £130 for a bedroom we were looking forward to enjoying as a wedding guest. But we’d have got more value for our money camping in the field outside. I’d suggest the hotel look at closing No.23 bedroom off as an offering to guests. It’s so disappointing. Mind you, we also looked into room 10, which was equally as run down and terrible to think that the hotel is putting guests in rooms like this. Not at all as advertised.

Stayed here for a function. I think only 14 rooms. There is a pub with rooms down road too. Incase your attending a bigger function and need to stay over . Booked and paid over phone. However, l did have communication over email. With email confirmation . Check in after 3pm check out 11am. However was told on day it's actually 10.30am. Lovely 1st impression on driving up .car park and we'll signed posted. Check in was fine. However 5pm to 9am no one on reception! Standard rooms book and a easy access room . Steps to 1st floor . Warm cosy room. We had lovely view from our room looking over fields and animals and lots of birds in nearby trees. Other side hotel view was over a rear garden and greenhouse. Room had ample tea coffee milk and sugar. Hairdryer tv . Internal phone. Only issue was that there was no toiletries.in 3 standard rooms. On asking had they got any, the dispenser keep getting broken was reason. So we didn't have anything to shower in. So had to use the hand soap. Function facilities was brill. The menu for the meal we had Wow it was lovely 😍 See they do Sunday lunch and menu looked amazing. Small breakfast table was provided for residents, down stairs hot food, pastries, cereal, toast ,juice and tea and coffee. Couldn't fault it. Clean hotel ,rooms etc no issues. I would recommend this hotel and l would like to return 1 day.thank you

The Wroxeter hotel is situated in the village of Wroxeter and has some wonderful views of the countryside. I attended a party in January 2025 and was looking forward to a great stay. The party was lovely, however I have a number of issues with this hotel. 1. The food that was served on the evening was adequate however the pizzas were “flabby” and unappetising. We had to ask for the plates to be cleared away when guests had finished eating. 2. The cake was “whisked” away to be cut up and returned. The pieces were enormous and each slice could have fed two people. When I asked for a knife to cut it in to more manageable pieces the member of staff looked blankly at me and I had to ask again. 3. Breakfast was well below what I would have expected. This was served between 8AM and 9:30 AM. This seems rather early for an event hotel, where guests did not get to bed till after midnight. Each table had toast already on the table at 8AM. So, it was cold when we came downstairs at 8.30 The food was left in heated trays, again from 8AM. Tea and Coffee were in thermos pots. There was a limited choice of individual cereal boxes and a few yogurts. There was no fruit or cold meats, which many hotels offer as standard these days. It did feel as if everything was done on a shoestring budget, and some staff need some further training in customer service.

Spent a delightful stay in the Wroxeter Hotel over Christmas. The views over the Shropshire countryside are fabulous and nothing was too much trouble for the staff to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. Christmas lunch was excellent and I made new friends among the other guests. Thank you!

Went here for Christmas lunch last year (2023) and it was absolutely fantastic, so booked again this year and what a difference 12 months makes. Paid just under £100 per person (without drinks) and it was absolutely terrible. Can only assume there has been a change of management (or manager) but it totally ruined Christmas Day. It seemed that they had got too greedy and had taken on too many bookings and could not handle them. Staff were too few and some very inexperienced. Parking was chaotic with too few spaces for the number of guests. We taken in to the restaurant for 1315; a bread roll came 20 mins later; the starter came at 1400 prawns with a bit of salad and pea mousse so nothing had to be cooked; and on it went - another 40 mins for the mains - we had a traditional Christmas dinner which was OK but nothing special like last year; took another 55 mins for the puddings to arrive - the Christmas pudding had been hanging around some time and gained crusty edges that were inedible, it was sitting in a little bit of white sauce but no extra sauce or custard offered. Coffee and tea also took forever - most people around us had given up and left but we hung out and finally left at 1615, three painful hours and £550 for the five of us. Definitely not worth the money and we will never go back. Strangely no-one said thanks for coming! Thankfully there are other good options in the area and wherever we end up next year, it couldn't be any worse. Ruined Christmas Day completely, everyone felt completely deflated. Buyer beware!

Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. A very warm and friendly welcome from our Hostess. Exceptional service from Maitre d', Hostess, Waitresses, very efficient and nothing was too much trouble, always served with a smile. Beautiful Restaurant , tables well spaced , lovely ambiance. A First Class Chef, served beautifully presented food, amazing flavours, freshness of ingredients flowing through, ample portions, each dish was so well-executed every mouthful was a treat. We look forward to returning. Highly Recommended - 5 Stars

Absolutely amazing location! We went for a family wedding and couldn't have asked for more. The food was amazing, the staff were great and atmosphere was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they did a great job at catering for dietary requirements- there were quite a few among the guests- and no one felt overlooked or like they were too much trouble. We will definitely be returning to try their Sunday lunch!

We went to The Wroxeter Hotel for a family Sunday lunch. We were greeted with a glass of bubbly which was a lovely touch. We all had a roast (there's a great selection) apart from our youngest who inhaled goujons and chips(typical 4 year old). The food was delicious and plenty of it. Definitely didn't go hungry. Would recommend as they cater for all the family in a beautiful location.

We attended our second family wedding here yesterday and this one was just as fantastic as the last. It's an amazing venue in a great setting, and the day just ran like clockwork. From a guest's perspective, we felt really looked after by the staff, and the food was absolutely fantastic- best wedding food I've ever had. The rooms are great: good value, especially for the location, and we slept really well. The buffet breakfast was spot-on too, really enjoyed my Full English. Hopefully we will be invited to another celebration here soon!
