This stay at the Junlan Hotel in Xihai, Mount Lushan was a disastrous experience. To warn future travelers and urge Ctrip and the hotel to improve their services, I am leaving this review:
Ctrip: This trip was a family trip with five people. Out of trust in Ctrip, we chose this hotel from the list of luxury hotels in Jiangxi provided by Ctrip, and planned to travel during the off-peak period after the May Day holiday. However, in retrospect, this hotel is neither luxurious nor has good service, which is a pity for the beautiful natural environment. This hotel is ranked No. 4 among luxury hotels in Jiangxi on Ctrip. I strongly recommend that Ctrip conduct a situation review. This hotel is far from the top 4 hotels in Jiangxi in terms of service experience and hardware.
Hotel
I. Management chaos
(1) Missing reservation information: When I arrived at the front desk, we were told that we had not received any reservation information from Ctrip. We showed the reservation page before we were arranged in a room
(2) Shuttle bus: The hotel is staggered and the villas are scattered, so taking a shuttle bus is a necessity. The front desk said that the shuttle bus is available on call, but in fact, the shuttle bus generally has to wait for more than ten minutes, and this is in normal times when the occupancy rate is not high. Once the hotel even told us that all the drivers had gone to eat, so you wait for ten minutes. Moreover, the driver drove wildly. When our family was sitting on the hotel shuttle bus, there was an accident of a collision between vehicles inside the hotel. The safety awareness was weak.
2. The room arrangement is unreasonable. After we arrived at the hotel at 11:30, the hotel said that there were no rooms available. Considering that we arrived earlier, we waited for about an hour. In the case of more empty rooms on that day (it was May 5th and there were almost no guests in the hotel), we were arranged with two rooms that were musty, non-adjacent, and one of them had a peculiar smell next to the tool room. We communicated to change rooms, and the front desk said that only one of the two rooms booked could be changed, and if we didn't accept it, we could cancel it. After negotiating with the leaders, we changed to two rooms that were not so musty, but they were still staggered up and down. The whole process took an afternoon and was frustrating.
3. The facilities are poorly maintained and have a high damage rate. (1) As soon as we checked in, the door lock of the villa courtyard malfunctioned. The whole family was locked in the room and unable to leave. We repeatedly called for help. The hotel sent someone to open the door after about 20 minutes. After checking, the maintenance worker said that it could not be repaired for the time being, so he could only cut off the power supply of the door lock and the courtyard gate was open. The whole process took nearly an hour. (2) The children's playground facilities were poorly maintained. The sunshade roof of the trampoline was leaking, and the handrails of the slide were rusted. (3) The WiFi network was intermittent and it was impossible to use WiFi to participate in Tencent meetings.
Fourth, the sanitary conditions are poor. I understand that the hotel is in nature and there are many flying insects. But dead flies are floating in the iced water in the hotel lobby, and flies are always flying in the restaurant box. It is too "natural".
Fifth, the dining experience is monotonous. The hotel is a resort hotel, there is no take-out service, and it is 20-30 minutes drive from the surrounding farmhouse restaurants. The Chinese restaurant in the hotel does not provide ordering. It only provides two set meals for 40 adults, one cold and four hot, and the dishes are monotonous. And there is basically no local Lushan West Sea characteristics. The yellow croaker has a heavy earthy smell. Lushan West Sea is famous for its delicious fish. The breakfast is even more outrageous. There is no bread toast or bacon. The eggs cannot be made on the spot. There are only fried rice, steamed buns, and about ten other things. The pork sausage is even cold and not heated through.
6. Poor service attitude. For example, we waited in the lobby for an hour to arrange the room. There were no other guests in the lobby. No one paid attention to us, and we were not even given a glass of water. I was really thirsty and went to the front desk, and I was reluctantly given two glasses of water (our family of five was waiting). The service awareness of some front desks is not even as good as that of express hotels. When communicating with them, they seem to be willing to stay or not. I guess they made enough money on May Day and didn’t care about my family. When checking in, the hotel said that a baby bed could be provided, but it was not delivered in the end. Of course, some employees have a good service attitude, such as the manager on duty and some drivers on that day.
Oh, by the way, there is a frosted glass in the room without any curtains, which leads directly to the outdoors and faces the bed. I was awakened by the sun at six in the morning and was forced to get up early
