I came to Wuxi for a 2-day trip during the Qingming Festival. As an IHG member, I usually choose Crowne Plaza/InterContinental. I visited Huishan Ancient Town on the first day. I searched nearby and found the Crowne Plaza was the closest, so I went there to stay. The front desk lady Echo Si was kind and sweet. Because I used points to redeem room upgrades on Ctrip, the lady immediately helped me make the best choice. Nai Si! The room was on the 19th floor and was big enough. However, I have a small complaint that the room had a peculiar smell. It felt like it came from the carpet. The hardware facilities were relatively old and the air conditioning temperature was not very low. Overall, the service was perfect, but the hardware was a little worse😅

The room has a direct view of the Taihu Lake, and the sunset is beautiful. The hotel is in a good location, at the Sports Park Station on Line 4. The Mixc is just outside the station, and it is convenient for eating and shopping. The hotel is just a few steps away. This time I mainly took my children to feed the red-billed gulls, so it was very convenient to go to the Light of Lihu Lake and Lihu Bridge Park. It is also very convenient to take a taxi to other attractions for more than ten or twenty yuan. There is a Family Mart downstairs in the hotel, and it is very convenient to go down and buy something if you need it temporarily. The breakfast variety is OK, and the taste is quite satisfactory. It is worth mentioning that the staff have a very good attitude, from check-in to restaurant to cleaning, they are all very enthusiastic. Especially Sindy, who asks every day if the room temperature is suitable and if there is anything she needs. She also gave a travel guide, and the pictures she gave are very beautiful and can be posted directly on WeChat Moments.

We only booked 1 night to explore the city. Upon arrival the reception told us we have to go do a PCR test (although we had a valid 24hr test when checking in). We went from one testing site to another, nowhere could they help us because we weren’t registered living in Wuxi. Then they told us we don’t need a test because we are leaving again the next day. We spent our whole day looking for a PCR testing site - didn’t get to do anything else. Rooms were good, just extremely hot. Even when you turn the airconditioner on, the room was about 26 degrees the whole time.
