This was a great choice for the trip! I went to Huangling with my sister and stayed at this hotel. The hotel is located right at the scenic area. Service is amazing! There is a car that brings you to the reception area right after you take the cable car. After checking in, one of the staff brought us to our room and he also gave us some information about the area, including activities and shows we might be interested in watching. Our original room was not yet ready so they gave us another room. The view was just as great and even when we decided to stay indoors due to the heat outside, we could still enjoy the view of the area with the chilis being dried outside the rooftops.

A great way to get away from the city and experience the charm of an ancient village surrounded by breathtaking landscape.
The room gives you an opportunity to be secluded and to have a balcony all to yourself.

The hotel rooms are actually split among many of the buildings around Huangling. Despite looking like an old building on the outside, the inside was furnished like a modern hotel room.
Check-in is at the lower cable car station. There's a shuttle service that picks you up from the upper cable car station and takes you to the hotel reception area. From there you'll walk to your room, wherever it happens to be.
Breakfast buffet was Chinese-style with multiple options.

Generally, I have a mixed feelings for this property. For the price point, I was expecting the cleanliness to be better. The bathroom had a musty smell. The amenities looked a little worn. Nevertheless, the people at the property and the housekeeper were really friendly and helpful. The location of the place was great. It’s smacked on top of the mountains overlooking the slopes of cascading houses with autumn harvests. The breakfast is good.

If you don't want to come to Wuyuan during the rapeseed season and the sun-drying autumn season, you can drive to Huangling at the end of the Spring Festival. You can also book one of the three homestays on the mountain - Sun-drying Autumn Beauty Stay.
There is a hotel-specific parking lot at the cableway of the ancient village at the foot of the mountain. After checking in, you can drive along the internal winding mountain road to the parking lot on the mountain, and then ferry to the hotel. The housekeeper will ask about your well-being and the brother will help you carry your suitcase up and down the steps of the ancient village.
All the houses in the ancient village are either shops or guest rooms. The outside is simple and the inside is also antique. The room is located just above the small square. You can open the window or watch various folk performances on the balcony. The homestay on the mountain can also avoid the crowd and enjoy the tranquility of the morning and evening.
Huangling in winter is just as lovely!
