Fairfield Inn & Suites Grand Rapids Wyoming

This was the worst motel experience ever! When we arrived the afternoon of Feb 4, we noticed the room had not been vacuumed and checking the security, the dead bolt did not work. During our stay the room was never cleaned or the beds made. If we did not complain we had to get our own towels and wash cloths. The afternoon of Feb 4, we informed the clerk about the dead bolt. Every morning and every evening we went to the lobby and informed the clerk on duty that our expectations were not being met. All we received for our money was a place to sleep and lip service.

We chose to pay $30 a night more at this hotel over a nearby one because my hubby thought he saw a photo of a hot tub. It was actually a very small swimming pool. Our fault! Room was nicely appointed and very clean. Beds were good, not great. We went down for breakfast just before 8 am. There was NO coffee, no oatmeal (crock was gone and instant packets left next to it) no bacon, no salt or pepper and just a few shriveled up eggs. No employee was around. We waited a bit and when nobody came, we went to the clerk. He went to the kitchen and at least brought out coffee and told us he had no idea where the breakfast employee was. There were maybe 8 people who came in and looked under lids and left. We did have a yogurt and an english muffin but were really looking forward to a more substantial breakfast. The employee finally showed up and brought more eggs but at that point we were just done. Knowing we paid extra to stay here is very frustrating. Our daughter lives right down the road and we visit here often, but we will definitely take our business elsewhere.

Discovered a pair of shorts in one of the corners of the room (not mine). My wife climbed into bed, right on top of a wet urine spot. She called the desk and they asked if we wanted to switch rooms (!?!). I went down to get the new room keys and there was no apology or even acknowledgement, just handed me the keys and was done with me. On the plus side, they did refund my money for the room.

Dirt in room and bathroom. Did not see any cleaning being done. Noisy! People yelling and pounding on the door across the hall very late at night. Breakfast was awful. No customer service. Would NEVER stay again. Overpriced for what you get.
