Xiamen Jimei District Hotels

As per my previous review, this hotel is the best Crowne plaza i have stayed at and one of the best hotels i have found in China. Without repeating my previous review, the rooms are new and excellent quality, the facilities perfect and the staff are exceptional - always friendly and amenable. Special mention for the housekeeping staff who seem to work tirelessly. I travel extensively so i can be fussy and sometimes dismissive of the ‘hotel experience’, but this hotel is really exceptional. I will return for sure

Facilities: Quite new and no smell, in line with Howard Johnson's usual standards Hygiene: Cleaned very carefully, almost no dead corners Environment: Right by Jimei Lake, the lakeside greenway is right outside the hotel, the air is good Service: Warm and thoughtful, especially the front desk kira, who is beautiful and good at business. Seeing that we brought our baby, she also gave us a hotel doll, a golden whale🐳, which the baby loved and couldn't put down

Plus: Breakfast is simple but delicious, room is clean, hotel is homey, the fragrance of shower gel and shampoo is PERFECTLY great with its woody scent. Location is ok near Jimei but need to travel a bit to the island Minus: My room 105 is next to an area dedicated for hotel's internal usage. In the evening, i kept hearing sound of water flowing and that's distrubing my sleep. I stayed here for two nights, first night was ok, maybe because i didn't have enough sleep during my flight so i didn't aware but the second night was restless. From 2 am, I stayed until morning because of the sound. Not loud but annoying

The self-service machine is convenient, and the stay experience exceeded expectations! When checking in at the front desk, the staff showed extremely high professionalism, with a friendly smile, took the initiative to help carry the luggage, and also introduced the surrounding food and travel guide. The room is warm and elegant, and the details are carefully decorated: soft and fluffy bedding brings a baby-like touch, and smart toilets. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, and the toiletries are selected from well-known brands, and steam eye masks are also provided. I understand the fatigue of travelers! Breakfast is even more surprising. Not only is there a rich variety of Chinese and Western meals, but there are also Minnan Shacha noodles, four-fruit soup, and even the dishes are exquisite like works of art. The gym equipment is brand new and complete, with complete equipment and a full sense of atmosphere. When checking out, the front desk also gave souvenirs, cookies, and this thought made people feel warm. Whether it is a business trip or a leisure vacation, this hotel is impeccable, and I will definitely recommend it to my friends around me. I will choose here next time!

It’s a lovely, clean place with very caring staff, and a special mention to the always-smiling cleaning lady. I appreciate the room upgrade, early check-in, and the follow-up for feedback after my stay. For those who rely on fancy breakfasts, just a heads-up—it’s a very simple one, but enough to keep you from going hungry. Considering that most places in Xiamen don’t offer breakfast at all, it’s better than nothing. However, as I mentioned to the staff, the drinks could be improved. I couldn’t find anything suitable—milk was sweetened, and coffee already had milk in it. Even just hot water with tea bags would be a better option. Also, keep in mind that reaching most sightseeing spots by taxi takes around 30 minutes. All in all, a great option with good value for money.

The hotel is in a good location, not far from Xiamen North Railway Station and the airport (both are about a 30-minute drive away), and it is considered a relatively new Sheraton (many other Sheraton hotels in China are relatively old). There is a restaurant, bar and sky garden on the 5th floor where the lobby is located, and you can enjoy a good view outdoors. The only drawback was that when I left the room the next morning, I found that the window in the corridor next to the door was open and there were many cigarette butts on the windowsill (Picture 5). In fact, there was a camera at the door of my room (Picture 6).... I reported it to the front desk after breakfast that day.

The very attentive manager recognized us from a previous visit a few years ago. We were assigned a nicely upgraded room. Beautiful view of the sea. Beautiful sunrises. Extensive breakfast with a very varied choice and good quality. Sufficient choice for dinner.

It was no greetings at all from any staff when I firstly arrived the hotel. It was quite inconvenient communication 'coz no one could speak English. Nevertheless, all staff tried to use google translation with me and the service was better than the first day. Room and amenities were good but the toilet had a bad smell. And toilet on the 1st floor was very dirty and surrounded with cigarette odor.😣 By the way, the hotel location are really perfect. There are lots of street food, restaurants, shops, convenient stores, and drug stores. Some shops open until late night. Easy to find something to eat at night.😆

I stayed here for a week and I can say I did a best choice. They offer a late night free congee buffet between 930pm to 11pm which is uncommon to other hotels. Thank you, Atour Hotel Jimei University and the staffs and to my little friend, Fu Yufei. Until next time...

The location is good, it’s close to the Xiamen North Station. The room is new and modern. There are great light-blocking curtains, it was really dark at night. The check-in process was a little long, maybe because they didn’t see foreigners before. Overall the hotel is nice, we often choose this chain
