MMickey VentiThe hotel is exquisite. We were upgraded to a room with a view to the old city and it was just perfect. The room is very clean and it has a charm of its own. The room and the beds are very big and tastefully decorated. You are in walking distance from everything, but it is also very quiet. The lady at the reception was very helpful and very nice. 100% recommended!

GGuest UserVery satisfied 👍 A very nice inn with a great location. The river view room is right next to the Phoenix Scenic Area, very convenient! You can see the Phoenix performance in the room. The folk proprietress is also very nice and enthusiastic. She even reminded us at night that if we are tired of visiting the ancient city, we can contact her to arrange someone to pick us up. I like their service very much. If we have questions or don’t understand, we can consult the housekeeper. They also patiently explain and analyze to us. It is very comfortable to get along with them. It is very suitable for bringing family and children out to escape the summer heat. Next time I come to Fenghuang, I will continue to choose this place

JJCI was so lucky to find a room with a panoramic view of Phoenix Ancient Town. 3 days in this little town was a bit too much but I just wanted to stay here a little longer.
Ms.Zhang and staffs were so nice and helpful. I felt like home. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone I know.

PPaowoahTraveled in December, it was nice for us as there wasn’t a lot of people. Really easy to communicate with them through Wechat. They got us a car for train station pick up and drop off. Upon arriving, someone came out to get us. It’s a flight of stairs down first (they offer to help with luggage) but would say to pack light because we were struggling. It’s a couple minutes walk to the place, I believe they have two, so depends which one they bring you to?
We got the connecting rooms via balcony. It was nice because it was two rooms and each room had its own bathroom. We were able to see the water bridge (I believe) right outside the balcony which was nice. Good thing we were just on the first floor so with our luggages, stairs wasn’t too bad. Since it was not peak season, even with the bar nearby, it was not too loud for us at night. There’s some restaurants and photoshoot shops nearby as well. We did the photoshoot store right next to this stay and it was just ok for reference, feel like you can get cheaper elsewhere.
Everything was pretty clean but there were some issues. Since it was December, it was cold. And when we first arrived, there was no hot water (just all freezing cold water). They said water heater was just cleaned or something when I asked. They said hot water should be back at night but our water when we showered wasn’t too promising. And then the heater was barely warming up the room so we were basically freezing. We took out all our jackets and all and we were still cold. Our room door to the balcony window was also broken which I was frustrated at first since it was cold, no hot water, heater not working, cold air blowing in. They eventually fixed it and I did appreciate the lady giving us portable heaters for the room to use.
Overall, I think it’s not a bad place.

GGuest UserWe chose this hotel after reading many excellent reviews, and we were not disappointed. This hotel lives up to the excellent reviews they received. This is by far the best hotel room we had stayed for this holiday.
We prefer this location which is just outside the ancient town, an easy 5-10 min walk to the main Rainbow Bridge, entrance to ancient town. The hotel is very clean, very spacious and we love the firm comfortable bed for a quiet good night sleep. Buffett breakfast offers a wide range of options to choose from. The hotel provided us with free pick up and send off services to Railway station. This is a pleasant welcomed surprise, thank you.
We commend the front office staff for their friendly and warm services. Special mention to XiaoLong (小龙) and XiaoDai (小代). They were very patient in explaining to us the various procedures and assisting us with our train ticket booking when we encountered unexpected issues. We highly commend their spirit of service.

SShane CanadianGood location if you want to be near the ancient town, but in a quiet spot. The main bus stop is right outside the hotel and the ancient town is about a two minute walk. Room is large and modern and bed is comfortable. You won't have much of a view on the backside of the hotel, and the front is likely to be a bit noisy with the bus stop during the day and the Aunties dancing in the square in the evening. It was nice that they gave a parting gift of local delicacies when we checked out.
A few improvements needed:
1. Hooks, or hanging racks, for towels at the shower and the sink. There is no way to dry a towel after a shower.
2. Wash cloth. For a nice hotel, a wash cloth (or face cloth) should be provided. They are not expensive.
3. The water in the shower will be affected by the toilet flushing and the sink faucet. It will get very hot. Quite a surprise given that this is a new hotel.
4. Car service, especially to the train station. We asked the front desk to call us a taxi. Their response was to walk us to the main road, which is likely 300 to 400 metres. Not ideal with two suitcases and several bags of merchandise. It also took some time to get a taxi, which made us start to worry that we might not arrive in time for our train. Note that when you arrive at the drop off are for the train station, it is quite a long walk across a square to the station itself. Be sure to leave an extra 5 minutes for this.
5. Communication. When communicating with the hotel prior to arrival, we asked for a room on the top floor, which is the 5th floor. We were assured this would be arranged. However, on arriving at the hotel, we were initially assigned a room on the 4th floor. We mentioned the earlier conversation and were initially told there were no rooms available on the 5th floor. It wasn't until another attendant arrived, and seemed to check a chat history on the computer, that we were given a room on the 5th floor.
6. Sound insulation. While the room is quiet, the noise from the hallway can be easily heard due to poor insulation around the doors.
All in all a good stay but some improvements needed.

They also has a newly operated stir fry food stall offering local dishes and breakfast by owner's mom, wood fire cooking.

UUreshiHi from Malaysia, everything is as describe in the details of booking. The room is pretty and the view is what was expected. Im attached here view from our room.
In order to enter the furong town, you have to buy ticket. But the hotel help us by taking us to the ticket counter nearby entry of furong town. The hotel also provides free pick up service. They pick up us at furongzhen station and drop us directly at the hotel. So there was no issue of finding the exact location of the hotel. But for all of this, make sure to we chat them earlier from your booking date and tell them your request. They will also drop you back to the train station after check out.
During winter, the heater is functioning well. The room is perfect for short escape to the furong town. You can rest well if you book this hotel coz basically all attraction is walking distance.
But for my personal view, if you went to furong town for the waterfall view, you dont need to book hotel like this, coz everywhere in the city is photo spot and pretty. You can just make it quick day trip.

TTomas SaraleguiThe hotel is very nice, on top of a restaurant. The rooms were very beautiful. We booked a “panorama room” thinking it might have a view because of the name. Since it didn’t, we asked for an upgrade to a room with waterfalls view. Fortunaly, there was availability, so the team helped us change rooms. The view from the balcony was really amazing. It’s worth adding that the hotel is inside the scenic area, where taxis can’t arrive. Ours left us in the closest gate (Liang Bridge), purchased the tickets, and we walked a short distance (300mts).

JJimlim33We enjoyed our stay at Twang Palace Babutang. They picked us up when our taxi called them. If not, we might be lost finding the hotel. So, please contact the hotel when you are staying with them. They also fetch us to the train station after we check-out. The views at our hotel room, overlooking the waterfall and the surrounding places was priceless. We took a lot of photos. We were lucky to have a good night sleep as the mosquito did not disturb us.
