Very friendly and helpful staff. We were able to check in as foreigners. The room was nice and clean.

No English spoken and no effective ability to use translation software. This despite genuine effort by the female receptionists to assist. Not an effective hotel for non-English speakers. The fourth floor rooms have been refurbished and are adequate. However, it was unfortunate that my air conditioner was leaking and - instead of moving me to a new room - the manager/or owner supppsedly ‘fixed’ the air conditioning unit, only to be woken after 2am by its dripping. I then shouted and insisted on a new room. It should never have come to that. I reiterate the hard put in by the young women there to assist me, despite their lack of English and my lack of Chinese language, and their lack of any training having been given to them on sostware for translation.

Generally speaking, the environment is passable, mainly because there are some mosquitoes, but the front desk handled it promptly and provided new electric mosquito coils. The bed is softer and makes sleeping more comfortable. The hot water takes a while to come, so women need to be warmer. The water is not very friendly for washing

During the May Day holiday, accommodation in Yangshuo was too expensive. I drove directly to Xing'an and stayed at this hotel. The environment and hygiene were very good, the price was acceptable, and the service was very good.
