The hotel is very small. There is a woman at the front desk who is very weird. I booked a balcony room but she said that twin rooms don't have balconies. Finally, I cancelled the order and reluctantly arranged a room. Later, I don't know whether it was intentional or unintentional to charge my credit card more.

What a wonderful hotel...from the beautiful architecture to the rooftop deck/bar, to the twist they put on the expected Kimpton Happy Hour to our room, this was the perfect hotel. And the location in the heart of a residential and upscale shopping and restaurant neighborhood was a bonus. Our hotel journey started just after we made the booking. We were introduced to hotel's concierge, Angel, who helped make our 3-day stay in Mexico City special. He helped with arranging airport transportation, recommending tours and making reservations for walkable restaurants. This is an amazing world-class city and the hotel is the perfect base for seeing it.

We stayed eight wonderful nights at this amazing pet friendly boutique hotel. The location is perfect. A short walk to shops, restaurants, cafes, and Parque Lincoln is one block away. Our room was very quiet considering the bustling neighborhood. The room was filled with natural light, very clean, with modern and new furnishings, supplied with large glass bottles of filtered water, and a nice size mini fridge. The building is from the 1940s and recently renovated to become the Kimpton. The Spanish tapas at the hotel restaurant, Pepe, were delicious and the cocktails at the restaurant bar and rooftop bar were great. The best part was the staff! Everyone from housekeeping, front desk, security, restaurant and rooftop were friendly, professional and welcoming. A special thank you to Angel, the hotel concierge for going above and beyond for us. He made our stay extra special. We look forward to our next visit. If you are looking for a great experience in the heart of Polanco this is your place!

The hotel was a perfect choice. Intimate feeling, beautifully designed, an incredibly helpful staff, a wonderful concierge (Angel), excellent food (we had breakast twice in the beautiful lobby atrium restaurant), a terrific rooftop bar, an unbelievable location on what must be one of the most beautiful streets in Mexico City and very close to a lovely park and countless cafes and restaurants, a great room (we had a King Premium Spa Panoramic View Balcony and it is light and airy with a great view) and huge bathroom, and spotless service. It was a wonderful 5-night stay.

Spacious rooms in a wonderful location, with beautiful design and phenomenal service. I cannot speak highly enough about the staff - the proactive service, careful attention, and peak hospitality made the Virgilio team stand out from other properties. The property is absolutely stunning with the live garden in the atrium. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The housekeeping staff provided multiple bottles of filtered water each day. The linens were comfortable, there was excellent water pressure in the shower, as well as an adjustable personal climate control. When I return (not "if!") I will request a quieter room. My room was on the entrance side on a lower level, and I heard excessive street noise between 7-10pm. Additionally, I could hear private conversations from the hotel restaurant due to the echo effect and thin walls.

Great boutique hotel. Very caring and sincere service, not snobby at all. Rooms are modern and clean. Nice touches with gratis drinks/snacks. Angel (the concierge) is a gem -- made the stay special for us. I would definitely stay at the hotel again.

Fabulous stay at the Kimpton Virgilio! The property is both charming and sexy, located on a gorgeous and leafy block in Polanco. The rooms are lovely, especially the spacious bathroom and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast every morning, as well as rooftop yoga several days during our stay! The staff is extremely professional and accommodating, and Angel the concierge went above and beyond in helping to plan our trip. I can't recommend the Virgilio enough - we are hoping to return again very soon as it made for a perfect home base in Mexico City.

The service at the Kimpton Virgilio was simply outstanding. We were greeted at check in by the Head Concierge, Angel Munoz, who immediately made us feel right at home. He asked us what he could do to make our stay at the hotel and in Mexico City special and then proceeded to assist us in revising our agenda to ensure we didn't miss certain areas during our stay. Overall the hotel is situated in a wonderful area and is immaculate and staffed by smiling and helpful staff throughout. A true delight.
