3-Star Hotels in Yakushima

This is a hotel that must be highly recommended. The hotel is in a prime location, a 15-minute walk from Anfang Port. The transportation is convenient, and the bus station is a two-minute walk away. As soon as we arrived at the hotel, the lobby manager enthusiastically introduced the hotel and the activities on the island, and also gave us a Chinese version of the travel guide. Knowing that we were going to Shenwenshan the next day, our breakfast was changed to a bento for free. The thing that touched me the most was that on the third day we went to Pingnei Umi-no-ka Onsen. Because the bus schedule had just been adjusted, we missed the last bus. We asked the hotel for help, hoping that they could call a taxi for us. Because it was already dark, the hotel couldn't call a taxi for a while, so they arranged for employees to pick us up over 40 minutes long distance, and they didn't charge any fees. I was very touched and I would like to express my gratitude again.

Splendid sea view from a beautiful, large, bedroom. 2 beds instead of one big. This could have been better to me. Service is excellent. People are nice, always trying to help, being resourceful on how you may handle your visit of the island. Top notch people. The real ”could be better” thing to me is, the restaurant that close really early (8.30pm if my memory is good), does server only buffet for 80kY. The buffet is of quality mixing Japanese, Chinese and Western styles of food. And also comes with nice desserts. However, having the choice to get only one A la carte dish could be a real plus. I personally do not want to get a full buffet for every and each of my diners. And if you do not have a car, finding another place to eat may become a challenge. There is nothing around at a walking distance except a supermarket. The breakfast is definitely qualitative. And if you intend to move early for visiting, the hotel can prepare you a breakfast and a lunch box for no overcharge. Basic but good and appreciated. To have another plus, they serves a local craft beer made with local cedar trees. Quite a good and interesting one.

I went to Yakushima Landes in the heavy rain, so I wanted to take a bath early, so it was before check-in time before going to the nearby day trip hot spring from 15:00, but I bought sashimi and beer for dinner in advance. Pe I was very helpful because I was able to put it in the refrigerator of the nshon. I booked a western-style twin room with an old decoration, but it basically meets my needs. The hotel is close to the port and provides free round-trip transfers from the airport. You can also rent mountaineering equipment at the hotel. The staff is very polite and enthusiastic. Overall, this hotel is a very good choice for tourists who want to save trouble.

This trip came to this hotel twice: the first time I booked accommodation on the platform; the second time I came here temporarily because of an emergency with another booked hostel. Dinner is kaiseki cuisine with 10 meals, breakfast is 6 side dishes plus buffet (I have not booked lunch so I don't know). Most of the meals were very delicious except for some of the salty ones for my taste. Especially some local ingredients and seasonings will be used, which will make people feel more connected to this place. In terms of cost, the price is high for people who are used to living in backpackers. At the same time, after living in, I feel that the overall environment and service are very worth the price. For travelers who want to relax and relax in a quiet, slow journey, I highly recommend this hotel if financially generous permits!

Because it is a detached house, the １ floor and ２ floor can see the sea well with the ocean view, and there is no light around at night, so the stars and moon are beautiful and you can see a lot. All rooms are clean and easy to use. I asked for breakfast later, but it was a great answer. The appearance and taste are the best. The owner was a chef before, so it tastes great. The bath is like a goemon bath, and you can remember the old feeling.

We absolutely loved this stay and would recommend it to all travellers! We booked the corner room. The room was well illuminated by natural light during the day and we could see the river from our room. At night we could even hear the water flowing. There were two western single beds but we asked for futons for the full Japanese experience and loved it! The room was spacious and clean. There was a bathtub in the bathroom but we used the public bath (male and female separated) which was amazing. The public bath was quiet and spacious and there was a sauna room. Breakfast was served during 7am -830am with a well set table as shown in the picture. The staff was super kind. Just note that the walls were thin and you should expect some noise but people here are generally used to keeping their voice down. Another highlight is that you can take the bus of both the red and blue lines at the bus stop right in front of the hotel. (The blue line is for Shiratani Unsuikyo.). It is very convenient if you are not driving. The hotel is around 25 mins away from the ferry port and the walk there was pleasant and not difficult to find. Yet another great thing about this place is that you can rent mountaineering gear here at a cheap price, including shoes and rain protection. We rented the shoes here at 1,xxx yen per person (forgot the exact price) and they were very useful. It was raining for almost the whole 5h hike for us and the shoes offered a good grip and were sufficiently waterproof. You can also find little souvenirs at their shop. Honestly, it's impeccable!

The hotel is close to the sea, and we arranged a sea view room. The environment is very good and the boss is very enthusiastic and willing to help. Gongzhipu Pier is a minute walk from 30-40.
