Yakushima Hotels with Pools

This is a hotel that must be highly recommended. The hotel is in a prime location, a 15-minute walk from Anfang Port. The transportation is convenient, and the bus station is a two-minute walk away. As soon as we arrived at the hotel, the lobby manager enthusiastically introduced the hotel and the activities on the island, and also gave us a Chinese version of the travel guide. Knowing that we were going to Shenwenshan the next day, our breakfast was changed to a bento for free. The thing that touched me the most was that on the third day we went to Pingnei Umi-no-ka Onsen. Because the bus schedule had just been adjusted, we missed the last bus. We asked the hotel for help, hoping that they could call a taxi for us. Because it was already dark, the hotel couldn't call a taxi for a while, so they arranged for employees to pick us up over 40 minutes long distance, and they didn't charge any fees. I was very touched and I would like to express my gratitude again.

Splendid sea view from a beautiful, large, bedroom. 2 beds instead of one big. This could have been better to me. Service is excellent. People are nice, always trying to help, being resourceful on how you may handle your visit of the island. Top notch people. The real ”could be better” thing to me is, the restaurant that close really early (8.30pm if my memory is good), does server only buffet for 80kY. The buffet is of quality mixing Japanese, Chinese and Western styles of food. And also comes with nice desserts. However, having the choice to get only one A la carte dish could be a real plus. I personally do not want to get a full buffet for every and each of my diners. And if you do not have a car, finding another place to eat may become a challenge. There is nothing around at a walking distance except a supermarket. The breakfast is definitely qualitative. And if you intend to move early for visiting, the hotel can prepare you a breakfast and a lunch box for no overcharge. Basic but good and appreciated. To have another plus, they serves a local craft beer made with local cedar trees. Quite a good and interesting one.

The room is oversized, very clean and tidy, and the electrical appliances are fully equipped. The owner of the house is very nice and will give many tips for playing on the island. The yard is equipped with a laundry room, vending machine, and hammock. There is a large parking space in front of each house, which is very suitable for self-driving tours.

I went to Yakushima Landes in the heavy rain, so I wanted to take a bath early, so it was before check-in time before going to the nearby day trip hot spring from 15:00, but I bought sashimi and beer for dinner in advance. Pe I was very helpful because I was able to put it in the refrigerator of the nshon. Moreover, when I told the owner that I would go to the hot springs, he said, ”You can bring a bath towel and a towel in the room. I booked a western-style twin room with an old decoration, but it basically meets my needs. The hotel is close to the port and provides free round-trip transfers from the airport. You can also rent mountaineering equipment at the hotel. The staff is very polite and enthusiastic. Overall, this hotel is a very good choice for tourists who want to save trouble.

Dinner is kaiseki cuisine with 10 meals, breakfast is 6 side dishes plus buffet (I have not booked lunch so I don't know). Most of the meals were very delicious except for some of the salty ones for my taste. Especially some local ingredients and seasonings will be used, which will make people feel more connected to this place. In terms of cost, the price is high for people who are used to living in backpackers. At the same time, after living in, I feel that the overall environment and service are very worth the price. For travelers who want to relax and relax in a quiet, slow journey, I highly recommend this hotel if financially generous permits!

This Minshuku is well located on the main road between airport and Miyanoura. If you don’t plan to drive, you can take the bus from the airport and will arrive in about 15 min at the Kokumae bus stop ( bus stop in front of the high school) . The bus stop is just in front of the Minshuku. Bus ride costs ¥200. The overall condition of the Minshuku is good. The double room that we had was about 100 sqft, with a wash basin inside the room which is good. The futon were comfortable and blankets were warm. Toilet and shower are shared but they were very clean. Dining area is nice and comfortable. Dinner is excellent with local food. There is free coffee and tea in the reception. The Minshuku offer rental for hiking shoes if you don’t have any. Overall I would recommend this place for the great location and price.

The rice looked delicious and added breakfast. Choice without regret Although the large bath is small, there are all the things, but the sauna is not operated due to the corona effect. Friendly owner and convenient parking, and there is a mart right in front of you, which is a good choice. However, due to the characteristics of Yakushima, where it rains a lot, it would be nice if there were tools to dry hiking boots in the accommodation, but this place has a strong ryokan personality, so if you are looking for hiking, it would be better to review other accommodations.
