The room we booked was very spacious and had a kitchen. There was a big tree at the door. We had breakfast under it and many birds flew over to cheer us up. It was an interesting experience. The whole hotel was more like a big manor with enough space for walking. We encountered sheepdogs, wild rabbits, lizards, parrots, etc. The ecological environment was unbeatable.

Stayed 4 nights in early January during our travels round the Margaret river region. Lovely place in an ideal Location for the beach and all local attractions. Very clean and lovely staff. All the usual amenities in the room, fridge, washer and dryer, all used with no problems. One tip is, take some Nespresso pods and tea bags if you need them because they cost a fortune in the general store outside. We had a ground floor apartment with terrace on to the garden. Got a bit noisy early evening with kids playing games on the grass while parents had a drink in the Caves house bar next door but that wasn't a problem. Very handy for food in the Caves house bar which was very good at a reasonable price. Always live music on but usually just a guy on a guitar and wasn't on to late, couldn't hear it from the room. Birds are a bit noisy at times but with the door closed you can't hear them. One problem when we left was money taken from my card by the hotel when I left but after contacting them they realised the mistake and put it back straight away. If we are down that way again will deffo visit again.

We had a lovely apartment for 3 nights. Very well layed out and the bed was very comfortable. Really enjoyed the location. High.y recommended. The ground are vast although restaurants were not open. Accepet for the pub that sold bar meals. ( low quality) beer was good but didn't match surroundings

Easy no fuss and very well presented. Had a great 3 nights here while travel restrictions were in place. Result was a resort to ourselves. Fantastic. Good location and accommodation. Just avoid the food from the pub. Had a really good stay December 2021

Caution advised! Do not pay upfront even with free cancellation. Took over 6 weeks and countless emails and calls for them to refund me!! I paid for free cancellation and cancelled 2 months in advance of stay. Only book here of it’s pay on arrival

Have stayed here several times and loved it , this time we booked 3 nights in October. The first night no hot water, phoned after hours number left a message with no joy. At 11:30 pm fire alarm sounded so the whole apartment block evacuated. At midnight no one came so one quest phoned the police. Some 15 minutes later the manager arrived 10 minutes after him the fire brigade arrived 1 hour after the original alarm. Next morning I and a few guests met at reception to ask why the response was so slow, the manager almost immediately accused one lady guest of using poor language towards him the night before which she denied and the CEO of seashells agreed with her after viewing CCTV. Then the lady in reception became involved and told the guests to all leave the reception. All the guests wanted to know was why it took so long for the manager and the fire brigade which is based in Dunsborough (which is 8 kilometres away) to respond. We love the accommodation and setting here but this stay was soured by the management attitude towards their paying guests.

We stayed with a Luxury Escapes package for two nights. The apartment is well appointed with full cooking and laundry facilities in room. The bedroom is large and very comfortable. The bathroom has separate bath and shower. There is a nespresso pod machine but no pods, so you'll need to get some on the way but Bussleton is on the way from Perth and you'll probably be stocking up with other food options anyway. Staff are fantastic both being friendly and knowledgeable about the various things to do in the area.
