Getting there was the hardest part. Once you get to Jupeer (where there is food and ski equipment rentals), take the escalator to the second floor. Then from the exit on the second floor, you have to take your luggage trudging through snow, uphill, for about 100 meters. But that was the only hard part. Once we arrived, everything was great. At checkin, the host introduced us to everything, from meals and baths to the Zao area map and the ropeway tickets. At checkout, the host helped us move our luggage downhill to Jupeer. They own a good restaurant which opens till 10pm. We had breakfast there every morning and dinner there was a convenient choice because going out for food at night was a cold option. The nearest place to get food was at least a 15 minute walk away. This hotel was cozy and warm. The location was perfect for ski-in-ski-out, and the dry room was great. They also had a bath in the hotel, which was shared by all the tenent. They had a reservation system for the bath, where we could write down our room number on a whiteboard where there was a vacant spot. I used the bath for shower every night. It was much bigger than the bathroom in our room. Our room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable, and the heater was a lifesaver. It was quiet and we could watch the skiers right from our window. Wifi was okay. There did not provide daily housekeeping as this was more of a B&B. There was no refrigerator but I think the host can refrigerate food for the guests if needed. Yes, I would stay here again, for the ski-in-ski-out location and hospitality. Maybe check if they can help with the luggage next time.

Our accommodation in Yamagata City was at the west exit of Toyoko Inn Yamagata Station. As the name suggests, it was built from the west exit of Yamagata Station facing a large street ３～４ minutes walk. It's Toyoko Inn, so it's not a luxurious hotel, but the inside of the building was bright and clean, and the staff were very friendly and pleasant. Our rooms had windows on the north side. When I woke up in the morning and looked out the window, the north side of the city was covered with a sea of clouds. Since it is Yamagata surrounded by mountains 々, there may be a sea of clouds. I was lucky to see it.

The check-in time was 3 o'clock, but I arrived 25 minutes early, so I thought I'd just check in, but when I entered, I was told that it would start at 3 o'clock and was kicked out.I was asked to come back after 3 o'clock.This is the first time this has happened to me. is. Many hotels usually let you wait in the lobby or let you enter if you are ready. I stayed for several nights, but at first I was told that the fee would be paid at the time of check-out, but when I returned on the second day, I was suddenly asked to pay the fee.And when I entered the parking lot, there were about 50 customers coming today, so I stopped. All of the staff members I asked were female, but the male staff were very polite and nice, and the room was very clean and nice. I'm disappointed because the reviews have been good recently. I stayed with breakfast included, and the breakfast was delicious. I would like to eat dinner if I have a chance.

We stayed for 3 nights in the New Building, where rooms were newly renovated and extremely spacious in Japanese business hotel terms. Decent variety and quality at the breakfast buffet. Excellent location around the shopping and dining streets of Nanukamachi. Some hip cafes nearby including BOTA coffee and Tongari Building. Overnight parking is available at reasonable extra cost. It's in the same building and uses the same elevator, which is very rare in business hotels in Japan and very convenient. You can choose to not have your room cleaned daily - just tell the front desk and they will leave you new towels and sleepwear at your door every day. Toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner and soap are in the room. If you need any extras eg. comb, grab them at the front desk for free. This helps lowers wastage, which is great.

by chance, i and the landlady, my mother and the landlady's mother are the same age
I was more than happy.
i was able to wash it and i was saved without sweaty luggage.
the food is also handmade by the lady general, and i'm full.
I also listened to how to make ”Imoni”.
if you have another chance, i'll be indebted to you.
i recommend it to my friends.

GGuest UserWe arrived at Mt Zao in the middle of Our Epic Six Week Trip To Japan, during which we stayed in nine different hotels. This room was amongst my favourites. The staff largely didn't speak English and were not helpful. We had a stand off at the restaurant as we didn't understand that we couldn't dine at there without having made a booking far in advance. After this was explained, there was no apology or suggestions for alternative dining options. There are limited dining options in Zao. We ate at the Soup Curry place one night and a cute sushi joint another night. On the last night we ended up getting an ebiken bento box from the local L****ns as nothing was open. We did book breakfast each morning and that was fantastic. Lots of Japanese and Western options and it seemed like the food had all been prepared onsite. The hotel is very pretty, with a lovely view of the forest from the lobby. There is a common room with free coffee, tea and ice creams. People were pretty friendly in there. The hotel is the furthest from the 'town' but the closest to the ski lift and to the 'sulfurous' onsen. The ski lift is about 50 metres from the hotel and the ride up and down is spectacular. I thought the onsen was top notch. The sulfurous onsen outside has milky water that is supposed to be good for your complexion. It was fun having an onsen with snow all around. We stayed in the Western style room - it was spacious and well appointed. Our little lounge area had a beautiful view of pine trees and lots of snow. There was also a similar view from the luxurious bath tub (but I didn't use that tub as the onsen was so good.) The beds in our room were very hard. Our room also had a massage chair which I used for hours a time. It was a bit of a trek getting to Mt Zao. The hotel staff weren't very helpful with organising buses but they did drop us off at the bus stop early in the morning and we were picked up on our day of arrival. I know that the staff weren't friendly to us because of the language barrier, which is a shame because everyone should enjoy this venue. I would stay here again for sure. Next time we'll book the dinner set. It did smell amazing ! --

GGuest User昨シーズンに蔵王デビューしてから蔵王に嵌っています。初めて利用しました。心より応援したくなるのが松金屋アネックスです。以下が正直な印象です。 １： 普段、機能性・効率性・スタッフのキャパシティで米国系のホテルを国内外で利用しており対価とホテルサービスが比例するのは当然と考えています。ミスが有れば容赦しません。松金屋アネックス、昭和感がたっぷりで普段のホテル選択からは外れるかも知れません。しかし、とても心地良いのです。理屈抜きでリラックス出来ます。現場の最高責任者であるS専務ですがトラブル対応を含めとても好感を抱きます。フロントのMrs.Sさん、Tさんを始め皆さん山形ホスピタリティたっぷりです。 ２： 昨今の物価高騰を受けながら物凄い企業努力をされているのだと思います。コスパ抜群でとても美味しい食事です。大きな椀にたっぷりの山形名物の『芋煮』、感動ものです。思わずIさんにおかわりを頼んでしまいました。他の旅館の様にお品書きが置かれていません。SDGsの観点から必要と考えていない立場なので不自由は感じません。個々の料理を知りたければ聞けば良いだけです。其の対応も山形ホスピタリティに触れる好機でしょう。最後のデザートに至るまでリーズナブルな料理が続きます。高級食材だけで食事に満足出来る訳ではありません。 ３： 建物も新しいものではなく隣・上階の音も遮断されていません。WIFI利用可能ですがIT機器を携行する昨今なのでコンセントの場所やデスクの広さ、コンセント数等の制約が有ります。宿泊者自身でアレンジが必要でしょう。其の点、宿泊料や山形ホスピタリティを踏まえ甘受しましょう。東館ベッドルーム（トイレ・バス付）でしたががデスクを占領するポットを始め使わないと決めた物を外に出しました。尚、館内には洗濯機（200円）と乾燥機（100円）が各2台、設置されています（洗剤用意しましょう）。ロック付きでプライバシー対応の洗濯乾燥機が主流な昨今ですが違います。でもコインランドリー設置の宿泊施設が蔵王では限られる中でとても助かります。洗濯機や乾燥機が使用中か否かフロントで確認しに行って貰えばあらぬ疑いを女性利用者に掛けられるリスクを減らせます。 ４： 温泉（展望風呂）と大浴場、とても風情があります。24時間利用可能なので深夜にビジネスメールが来てイラっとしても温泉で気分転換です。大浴場には、マッサージチェアが設置され人気の無い時間帯なら入浴してはマッサージチェアを繰り返しリラックス出来ます。ただ、暖房が無い時間帯の温泉・大浴場エリア、寒いです。 ５： 樹氷原へ向かうロープウェー駅には裏手から階段と雪道を経て徒歩で行けます。階段は急で雪が降り積もるとハードです。ロープウェー駅からの帰路、『銘品館』と言う土産物屋があり『玉こんにゃく』を一串購入し、ハフハフしながら食べた後、松金屋アネックス迄、歩いて帰りましょう。

__e244It is an old hotel, so you may not want to take a bath in your room, but their public bath is good. This place is on the hill which means you will not want to walk by your own in winter because of the slippery Mountain path. But in other hand it is really convenient because they provide shuttle bus to bus station or cable car station. And there is a ski place just in front of the hotel, you can borrow the equipments from hotel.

GGuest UserThe location is good. Room is decent equipped with heater that I think is time to replace seems not working very well. The breakfast and dinner especially is very worth n nice. First night we had pork shabu shabu n second night lamb BBQ. The staffs in restaurants r friendly n good, especially the old uncle n Philippo lady . Can see all the local staffs sort of rely or keep letting the lady work only as she speak english. In other words, a bit taking advantage of her. onsen is also nice especially the outdoor with trees n snow feel. The front desk staffs r very bad. There is one young guy that just stand there and when I carry my little girl with one hand while another hand pushing luggage where I need to push the entrance door. During check in, even the philipino girl helped to push the luggage inside while the same guy just stand there n look. Another more serious attitude guy was the older shorter guy with mole on his face, I parked my car in front as there was no parking didn't know is the hotel's van lot, the guy spoke with to remove the car like scolding n yelling at me. Super bad attitude. Lastly the air filter in the room, the cleaning standard operating procedure should include cleaning the water tank n it's surrounding. Looks very dirty with mold. Overall is worth your money n experience just some negative experiences by some bad staffs. Not missing another issue is the smoking room, is the exactly at the entrance n next to the welcome drinks sofa (though with ventilation n dedicated room but still can smell the smoke)

GGuest UserIt was a stay on the tour. The room was wide 々 in a Japanese room, and the futon was already laid, and there was no entrance and exit of Nakai, so I was able to relax. The whole hotel is Showa chick, or the front door is lined up with slippers, or the decoration is everywhere, and it feels like an old good age. The public bath was sulfur, the Karan and the mirror were corroded and a little black, and the open-air bath had no washing place, but the hot water was very good.

GGuest UserI visited with my children on weekdays in June. On that day, we were able to use it very freely because we were the only customers. The impression is that the building is carefully and beautifully used. The restroom was not in the room and was shared, but it was clean and there was no particular stress. (Because there were no other customers) The landlady was kind and talked to the children many times, so it was comfortable even with children. I was able to eat well from the morning, and he told me, ”There are many twin cherries this year 🍒.” I saw twin cherries for the first time, but they were delicious 😋 I arrived at the Shinkansen late at night and was scheduled to leave at 9 o'clock in the morning, so the location was convenient and helpful.

AAnThe counter lobby is on the 3rd floor. Downstairs is a FamilyMart convenience store. The hotel has a very high CP value. There are many parking lots around. The hotel is a bit old. The service staff in the counter lobby are also very friendly. I will stay again if I have the opportunity.

The room is clean and large. There is a hall, a room, a toilet, and a bathroom on both sides. Breakfast is rich. Dinner is a try
All hotel staffs are polite and can communicate in simple English
There is a room for skis near the hotel door
But the hot spring female soup is so fine
I will stay again if I go to Zao

GGuest UserThe minor problem is that the door lock is very difficult to be unlocked. There is instruction to turn counter clockwise but it looks like sometimes work sometimes don’t work. Otherwise excellent.
