Yamagata Futabacho Hotels

We had a very pleasant stay at Richmond Yamagata. The room is very spacious, clean, enjoyed the massage chair etc. It was comfortable. Service from lobby check in and restaurant are friendly and nice. Breakfast spread is indeed very good. This is first time staying at Richmond hotel and in future will consider staying at Richmond chain hotels. I can’t recall anything bad about the hotel.

Very close to Yamagata Station, but on the other side of Yamagata Station which is not very busy. Overall, the transportation is very convenient. The hotel has a high occupancy rate. When I went there, it happened to be a Japanese holiday, and even the buffet restaurant had a queue. The room was much better than the one I stayed in Morioka the day before. The bedding was very comfortable. The room was not too small. There is also an artificial hot spring on the top floor, the 14th floor, to take a bath and relieve the cold. This price has free breakfast, artificial hot springs, and this location, which is already a very good value for money. I will stay here again when I come to Yamagata in the future! In addition, I am grateful that there are sanitary napkins in the women's bathroom on the ground floor of the hotel for check-out guests, which really saves many girls who suddenly have their period. The details are perfect.

The hotel is about 600 meters away from Yamagata Station (you have to go through the underground tunnel to get there). It is the only hotel near the station that has a hot spring pool. After checking in, there is a Welcome Bar next to the counter, which offers a wide range of coffee/beverages and alcoholic beverages. The room is small but has everything you need. There are also accommodation supplies on the first floor, with various types of pillows for you to use. There are also three sets of washing machines/dryers (each costs 100 yen), which is really convenient for long-term travelers! Although there are not many types of breakfast, the taste is very authentic. It is only served until 9 o'clock. After 8:30, there are fewer people eating, so some dishes (such as bread) are not replenished. It is recommended that guests take a seat early to enjoy.

When I made my reservation, only smoking rooms were available, so I was worried about the smell, but when I called the day before to inquire about the snow conditions and parking situation, the front desk person kindly changed my room to a non-smoking room that was available. I had a very comfortable stay.

There is a hot spring downstairs. Very clean. There is a Yamagata beef restaurant nearby, and you have to queue up, but it is delicious and cost-effective, and there is Lawson downstairs. 24-hour service, very convenient

There was a convenience store on the first floor and there were plenty of places to eat, which was nice. The hot springs were also great. I'll definitely use them again.

I spent four great nights at Yamashiroya Ryokan when I was visiting for sight seeing and skiing. The owner was very nice and looked after me very well. She is a great cook as well and the breakfasts were excellent! I would definitely stay again if I was in the area.

Very satisfied, although the furnishings are a bit old, but it has a sense of age and is very clean. The Japanese breakfast is especially good. It changes every day.

1. Location of the hotel is nice! 2. Double Room size is pretty small which is 140m2 onlty! So, I would not reccomend those who have kids! 3. Toilet is very tiny! also bathtub can't fit a small kid! 4. The Freezer is very small! I have never seen such a small freezer. So, couldn't fit our Bento Box! 5. The hotel is old, and not properly maintained, for example; shower curtain is broken, and attach it with tape!

This hotel has been renovated. It is located in the urban area of ​​Yamagata City, close to the train station. It is a very convenient hotel with a good location. The room is big. I like it. It is good quality and low price. 2024.09.01
