Highly recommended. This hotel not only offers great value of money, Kokian is the one of best hotels I’d ever stayed.

The room is separate and relaxing, surrounded by forest. The open-air bath is just the right size, and the water flows directly from the source, giving it the smooth texture that is unique to Yuda Onsen, and it warms you from the inside out. The food has a delicate flavor that harmonizes with the ingredients. It leaves you feeling just the right amount of full, and even the rice and pickles at the end are delicious. If you're looking for a hearty meal, it may not be enough. This is an inn that will relax and heal you. I've been here 7 times.

I just want to say "like" the room, the service, and the food. Especially the room we chose this time gave us a big surprise, with an outdoor swimming pool. I would like to stay one night if I have a chance in the future.

We stayed here the night before going to Motonosumi Shrine, which we had wanted to visit for a long time. They responded to our sixty-year-old couple's requests for meals, and the delicious food and friendly service were truly impressive, as expected of Ikyu's No. 1 inn in the Chugoku region. However, I don't want to stay here again. They boasted about the spaciousness of the grounds, but since it is an inn in Yamaguchi City with no view, the garden from the room is cramped. There was a room with a pond, but it was a small water basin filled with water, which would be great if it was the size of Akakura H. What was most unpleasant was the number of small insects. As soon as we entered the room, my husband said, "There are flies," and killed two of them with a fan. After that, I killed the flies? They were bigger than flies but not bees. What I hated most were the small insects that landed on the TV, flew around the table and around the windows. I smacked five to six or seven of them, but gave up on anything more. Because it was hot during this season, we didn't go out onto the terrace, and although the open-air bath was open to the garden, it was in the room through the shower and the washroom, and even at Kurokawa Onsen, where I stayed the day before, there weren't that many bugs in the room. On the other hand, maybe that's because it's an inn in the city? Vapes don't work on small bugs. This is my second year in a row at Kurokawa Onsen, and it's so appealing that I want to come back again. This is just my personal opinion, but I didn't feel like flying here on a trip. I think it's better for people who want to eat delicious food in the prefecture or nearby. In terms of cost-effectiveness (satisfaction), it's not even close to "Fufu Nikko" that I visited last month. The food was just as delicious, so it's a shame. Now, if you are going to use these reviews as a reference, please take a look at the inn's response to the harsh star ratings on the Ikyu website. In every review, they say, "Please choose a different inn next time," and they have no regrets or intention to take opinions into consideration. It was more shocking than disappointing. I think this attitude is the whole point of the inn's customer service. There will be no return visit.
