Romantic Hotels in Yangshuo

Staying at Liangsu Hotel was one of the most magical parts of our journey through China. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking design, the serene natural surroundings, and the peaceful ambiance that made it feel like a slice of paradise. But what truly made our stay unforgettable were two incredible team members: Lynn and Rong. Lynn greeted us with the warmest smile and went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. Every recommendation she gave — from bike trails to hidden cafes — was spot on and made our experience even richer. Rong was equally amazing — thoughtful, kind, and always ready to help with the sweetest energy. You could feel they both genuinely cared. Liangsu isn’t just a hotel — it’s an experience. It’s the kind of place you never want to leave, and these two beautiful souls are a big reason why. We’re so grateful and already dreaming of coming back.

Our stay at Xitang Riverview Hotel in Yangshuo was truly unforgettable. The view from our balcony room was nothing short of spectacular — two large windows and a small outdoor table offered a perfect vantage point over the river and the iconic karst mountains. The peaceful scenery changed throughout the day, and waking up to horses bathing in the river, cormorants drying their wings in the sun, hot air balloons floating over the peaks, and bamboo rafts gliding by was magical. The room also featured a lovely little tea corner, adding a cozy and authentic touch to the stay. One of the highlights was the complimentary afternoon tea served daily on the rooftop, complete with fresh fruit and sweet treats — a relaxing ritual with a breathtaking view. After exploring the area, taking a dip in the panoramic pool was the perfect way to unwind. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection and fresh options. Overall, the Xitang Riverview Hotel offers a serene and scenic experience that made our time in Yangshuo truly special.

Room was very clean, and toilet and shower were separate. Smoking was apparently permitted in rooms despite my request for a non-smoking room, but there was no smoke smell in the room and it was well ventilated with the attached balcony which faced the river and had pretty views. I had issues with the electricity tripping, but the front desk resolved this very quickly by giving me a card specifically for the power outlet in my room. The hotel had washers and dryers for clothes free to use for all guests and even an area with hangers and poles to air dry your laundry, but the time I was there, there were many insects at night (the hotel did put a warning sign at the door). The laundry also apparently closes at 11pm but I did not notice this until I was done with my laundry at 1am. The caretaker who did the evening rounds also did not chase me away and let me use the area until I completed my laundry. The hotel was located near the Longtoushan pier where the Li River Cruises end and disembark. It’s supposedly a 3-5-min walk from the pier to the hotel, but the area tends to be very crowded as all the cruises tend to arrive together (~1.30-2pm). The stretch of pavement from the pier to the street is also very bumpy and not luggage-friendly, but you may contact the hotel to fetch you with a buggy but they tend to be too busy to accommodate at that time too. Apart from this timing, the street is generally very quiet. If walking at night, i would recommend bringing a torch light as the street is very dark. It’s also a 10-15min walk away from Xijie (west street) where there are many food options and souvenirs. The hotel has an attached cafe and restaurant too if you just want to chill in the afternoon. It’s a little pricey for this area but overall a good and comfortable stay! The rooftop also has very pretty views of the mountains and the river, and a great place for some quiet time in the morning!

Very nice hotel with a modern but minimalist style. Good location with a wonderful view on the mountains, close to the river and one of the main roads. Service was excellent and the employees were considerate and nice, and tended to any needs we had. Breakfast has not a lot of choices, but the quality and simplicity makes up for it. The photo shooting they offer was an interesting activity. The photographer and the team were patient and took the time to make this an enjoyable and fun experience. The pictures came out very well.

The hotel is strategically located on the Yulong River, with beautiful views. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of mountains and rivers from the room. The room I stayed in was relatively small. There was no coffee table or stool in the room, so I could only sit on the bed. The bathtub on the balcony was just a decoration. It was hot and sunny during the day, and I could be seen by tourists on bamboo rafts and tourists downstairs in the hotel. There were too many mosquitoes and insects at night, so I couldn't take a bath at all. The breakfast was small, but the afternoon tea was very good. The waffles and chocolate cakes were delicious. The selling point is the view. The decoration of the hotel room is very average, simple style, and the experience is average

The hotel is in a fantastic location, right within the anciant town. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. When we informed them that we would need to leave before breakfast on our last day, they put together a breakfast bag for us to take with us. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This time on my trip, I chose to stay at this hotel. The stay experience far exceeded my expectations. It was simply a pleasant journey for both body and mind. The hotel is right by the Lijiang River. Standing on the balcony, you can enjoy the scenery of the Lijiang River. The architectural style of the hotel is unique. The decoration in the room is elegant, making people feel a warm and peaceful atmosphere. The service staff of the hotel are extremely warm and friendly. From check-in to check-out, every link makes me feel at home. In particular, the reception staff at the front desk are not only considerate in service but also very patiently answered all my questions. The hotel's facilities are very complete, with facilities such as a gym, swimming pool, and SPA, allowing me to maintain health and vitality even during my trip. I also participated in some special experience activities. For example, the SPA project reserved at the hotel made me completely relax. In general, this stay experience in Yangshuo, Guilin is extremely wonderful!

What can we say except that this was the best stay out of all the places that we have stayed so far in China. The receptionists were so friendly/willing to answer any questions and can book you tours at a discount from the normal pricing at places like the Ruyi scenic tour, the cleaning staff were so hospitable to our needs (especially when we accidentally clogged the toilet after not realising toilet paper had to go into the bin and not into the bowl) and the location is so close to everything including the Yulong River scenic area and West Street. An added bonus is the view that you wake up to every morning!

Facilities: Complete and brand new, smart toilet, spacious bathing space, very convenient, disposable utensils are also of high quality!! Hygiene: Clean and tidy, public areas are also clean, and the overall stay is very comfortable Environment: The hotel is right next to Qianguqing, which is very convenient to go there and not far from the county center. You can get there in a short time by riding a small electric donkey. The overall decoration is wabi-sabi style, elegant and design-oriented Service: The young man and young lady at the hotel front desk are warm and hospitable, check-in is very fast, enthusiastically help to carry luggage when checking in, and greet politely every day Overall, the stay experience is very good, the room is large, quiet and comfortable, recommended to stay

I can confidently say it was one of the best experiences I've ever had during my travels. Before the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and supportive. Their service was outstanding—probably the best I've encountered anywhere! As non-Mandarin speakers, we initially worried about communication, but the hotel staff recommended using WeChat for messaging, which had an automatic translation function. This made everything so much easier, and we were able to connect seamlessly. The staff also went above and beyond to help us book various itineraries, providing discounts that made our stay even more enjoyable. We were pleasantly surprised by the range of amenities offered. Their service was impressively quick; we received responses to our queries in less than 30 minutes! The hotel also offered breathtaking views of nature, visible right from our window. It was a beautiful backdrop that added to our overall experience. Additionally, since our group only eats halal food, we were grateful for the staff's guidance on halal-friendly options. They ensured that we were only served meals that met our dietary requirements. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere.
