Really nice relaxing stay! Everyone was really nice, Sarah was a really nice concierge and helped with activities and all the bar staff/ restaurant staff were particularly good! Shout out to Tom and his bar team for some really nice cocktails. Perfect stay to relax from hiking or just to enjoy the amenities, the modern retro architecture is so great to walk around and the private area by the river is nice to get away from the hustle and bustle !

Hotel was great. Special shoutout to Sam who patiently spent each morning sharing with us scenic spots and food recommendations for each day! The housekeeping lady even went above and beyond to wipe some dirt off our luggage and left us extra water. Sam also left us a small departure gift which was very thoughtful. Location was very convenient — walking distance from West Street but without the noise and crowds. Cars are not allowed on the street from 12-4 daily, but this didn't cause us any trouble at all.

Travelled from Hong Kong via HSR with family. “DiDi”-ed from our urban Guilin hotel directly to Yangshuo Banyan tree with a comfortable 100 ish RMB ride, for the second part of our Guilin-Yangshuo journey. Great deal / value here ~2.5k hkd per night only. As someone who loves animals — the hotel pets were hard to say no to for me. Enjoyed feeding alpaca, viewing the peacocks, and playing with the ducks sooooo much. Eventually this is the main reason for me to pick this hotel over the other ones of similar price range 😁🦚🦚 Food I think was excellent. Freshly made Guilin Noodles with authentic crispy pork at the breakfast buffet was the highlight. Bai Yun restaurant’s local beer fish was memorable and special. Else all standard five stars — great location in the middle of the sensational yangshuo scenery. My favorite spot was where we could view the “Lucky Cat” shaped mountain from the river side of the resort 😺 —- best Feng Shui here! Good cultural taste 😁😁 Hope I’ll revisit here!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The view from my room was breathtaking, and the location was perfect—close to everything I wanted to see and do. The staff was friendly and provided excellent service throughout my stay. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing and convenient getaway!

Booking and Check-In I booked my stay at the Shixi Landscape Hotel in Yangshuo, Guilin, through Trip.com. The check-in process was very smooth and didn’t take long at all. One pleasant surprise was the option to upgrade our room for free, which we accepted. This upgraded room came with a lovely balcony. Although the staff couldn’t speak English, they were very friendly and helpful. Using a translation app made communication easy. Room Details We stayed in a standard double room with an upgrade to a balcony room. The room also featured a bathtub, which was a nice touch. Upon entering, the room was fairly clean, though there were some water stains on the floor and the carpet had a few dirty spots. The amenities were average, including a selection of soft drinks in the minibar and some snacks on the table. Despite these minor cleanliness issues, the bed was very comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep. Facilities and Services The hotel had a restaurant where we received a complimentary breakfast upgrade. Unfortunately, the breakfast did not meet our expectations. While the Chinese food selection seemed okay, the international options were quite disappointing. The sausages were undercooked, the bacon was not good, and the cereal options looked and tasted stale. The only decent international option was toast with butter. It’s a relief we didn’t pay extra for it. Although I noticed the hotel had a spa, gym, and pool, I didn’t get a chance to use them. The pool looked nice but was small and shallow, not suitable for a serious swim. There was no room service available as far as I knew. Location and Accessibility The hotel’s location was fantastic, situated right next to the Li River and only a short 5-minute walk to the main shops and streets in the town. It was very easy to find and access, making it a convenient base for exploring Yangshuo. Customer Service The overall customer service was great. The staff were very friendly and polite, and we encountered no issues during our stay. Overall Experience The best part of our stay was the hotel’s prime location, which made it easy to visit tourist attractions. The hotel staff were also very helpful in arranging scooter rentals for a very reasonable price of ¥30 per day, which allowed us to explore the beautiful scenery around Yangshuo. However, there is room for improvement. The breakfast selection, particularly the international options, needs significant enhancement. Additionally, a thorough deep cleaning of the carpets would greatly improve the room’s cleanliness. In conclusion, while I would recommend the Shixi Landscape Hotel for its location and overall good service, it is on the pricier side for Yangshuo. Given the cost, I expected a bit more in terms of breakfast quality and room cleanliness. Nonetheless, it is a decent option for those looking to stay near the Li River and the town’s main attractions.

The hotel has beautiful scenery. There are nine buildings in total, all of which are resort-style. There is a walking trail by the river, and there are swings in the ancient ferry bar. The scenery is also very beautiful. I am very satisfied with the service of Xiao Lu and Xiao Jiang, the front desk staff of the hotel.

The staff is very nice and friendly. My family love this hotel so much because this is the only hotel (among the one we went) has the bidet in the toilet. They offered free cake and beverages during teatime as well as free yogurt during dinner time. We also being surprised by the present given when we checked out. The experience of staying in the hotel was great.

This is quite different from them impression given by almost perfect review score The pro: front desk is helpful. Book Ruyi entrance with discount ticket. Breakfast is okay. Location is okay. The cons: if you are not here to use the hanfu for photo shots. This is really not for you. The entire entrance/ foyer is occupied by the hanfu , hairdo business. Room view is car park. This hotel is a hidden gem! The decor is modern, fresh and extremely pleasant to the eye. The view of the hill and a small shrine opposite the hotel is amazing. The well-kept garden with the swimming pool is an additional bonus. The rooms and facilities are impeccably clean, fresh and attractive. The only niggle is that hotel is a bit far from the centre of Yangshuo and West Street. On the positive side, however, the hotel is a short walk away from the bus station and conveniently located for those who arriving by bus. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel. There are countless restaurants and food joints in the area surrounding the hotel. We found the hotel to be good value.

I chatted during my whole stay with the reception using WeChat. Thank you for your work ! They helped me with all my requests (boat reservation, sunrise watching at Xianggong, bike, advices, etc.) and I can't show them enough gratitude for the value they added to my stay.. I would like to mention they helped me book two sunrise watching tickets for two friends I made in Yangshuo. They were not staying at their hotel, but the reception organized everything and also contacted the others hotel reception and the driver to make sure my friends don't miss the bus. The breakfast is great (eggs, salad, milk rice?, tea, coffee, fruits, cakes, noodles) and the rooftop is really nice to take pictures with the mirrors and the scenery. You are 7 min away from West Street. Daily cleaning was going an awesome job. Also, you don't have to worry or pay for laundry : put it in the bag provided and enjoy Yangshuo. Magic (=amazing workers) will return your clothes washed. Bed was confortable. Bottle waters are provided as much as you need. Only bad points : I booked this hotel because of the pull-up bar and the dumbells, but they removed them. Only treadmill and bike left... You can find some pull-ups bars and dips bars at Yangshuo Park (15min). They help you with many things, but to order a taxi to the station , you have to pay them 120 yuan (but maybe I misunderstood WeChat translation).
