That's why I opted for the Holiday Inn Express Yichang Riverside, situated right by the Yangtze River. Its location is superb, conveniently close to both the train station and the city center. The views from the window are simply breathtaking, with the magnificent Yangtze River stretching out before you as soon as you step outside. The room itself was immaculately clean and wonderfully fresh. I'd highly recommend it to any fellow travelers visiting the city.

Location is good, close to Yichang Visitor Center where Three Gorges Dam viewing boats are located. Surroundings is great and has walking trail along Yangtz River bank. Hotel front desk personnel are nice and helpful. Room is very clean. Breakfast has a lot of varieties to choose. We definitely would stay here next time when we visit Yichang again.

Service: They initially promised pick-up and drop-off via WeChat, and said they could help call a Didi (ride-hailing service) if the driver wasn't available. However, when I called, they said it wasn't during their service hours, even though I had asked beforehand and they said it was possible, and I still have the chat history. A different receptionist just disregarded everything. Sigh.

The hotel is new, with excellent and spotless facilities. The bed was cozy, and I received a complimentary upgrade to a river-view room, offering a magnificent view of the Yangtze. A complimentary fruit platter was waiting for me as well. The location is superb, ideal for strolls along the river, and within walking distance of major shopping malls and parks. I will stay here again if I return to Yichang.
