Oh gosh, where to start?! We were visiting for an event, and being friends who didn’t want to share a bed, we booked a “Junior Suite” costing £220 per night, which provided a sofa bed as well as a king. For that amount of money at a hotel and spa graded 4 star, maybe our expectations were fairly high. We were not prepared for a room in the basement, with so much heavy dark furniture, it was virtually impossible to open the door or move around the room once the sofa bed was open. In particular, there’s an enormous cupboard in the middle of the room containing just a kettle a tray and a rubbish bin. The bathroom is in two parts, with washbasin m in an alcove and a very short bath with shower over. There is no towel rail by the sink, so dripping hands between sink and bathroom. All of the above were inconvenient, but the worst was to come when we found a driving license belonging to a previous occupant of the room next to the television - this surely calls into question the thoroughness of cleaning. Open reporting the above to reception on check out, we received no apology and were told the sofa bed should have been turned round to make more room. We won’t be back!

We booked bryn meadows for my daughters wedding, we arrived the day before the wedding and checked out the day after , from the time we arrived all the staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble for any of them they were polite and professional at all times, The speed and efficiency that they turned the rooms around from the ceremony to the afternoon sitdown meal through to the evening event. I would like to give a special mention to Tracey Stokes who went above and beyond with every request that was made of her, nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend Bryn Meadows to anybody who is looking for a venue, from the stunning views of the Golf course to the amazing customer service from every member of staff

I purchased 3x Calm weekend spa packages (1 was a voucher for a 65th bday present) We turned up for our spa day only to be told that our treatments hadn’t been booked properly (their error), so we couldn’t have them. This was very frustrating as we had travelled an hour to get there, had arranged childcare etc and we were celebrating my Aunty’s Birthday. We were told we could still use the facilities and have the lunch, and as a good will gesture we could have the mud treatment (self applied). And we could re book our original treatments for a later date. As we had already traveled there we felt we didn’t really have much option, so we said yes. The facilities were quite basic and a little outdated, and after discussing we decided we didn’t really want to come back as we weren’t that impressed with the place, and it’s not worth the £109pp price tag! Instead I asked for a refund, however, the general manager would only allow for 2x refunds as apparently it’s in the T&C that the voucher cannot be refunded (even though their website or my email confirmation doesn’t state that, and it was their mistake!) The general managers attitude was absolutely horrific and he wasn’t very apologetic at all. He kept saying “you’ve had a treatment and we’re giving you a free lunch” and not really understanding our point of view. The whole day was a complete let down because of an error on their end. He then followed us into the restaurant to continue to state his case, and was very rude. We decided not to stay for lunch at that point, as we were so offended by his attitude. The role of a manager is to diffuse any conflicts, not to be offensive towards customers. For this reason I’ll never go back!

After recently having my wedding at Bryn Meadows and spending 2 nights in the Hotel I feel this was a bitter sweet experience. During the booking process all the staff at Bryn Meadows were very helpful and were happy to organise a bespoken wedding package for myself and my now husband. We were happy with the service that was being offered so went ahead and booked the wedding. All seemed to be going well up until a few days before the wedding, after being told the balance had been cleared we were informed that there had been an error on the hotels side and we had to pay another £200, we could have really done without this a few days before the wedding, after a few emails back and forth we decided it was best to clear the balance to avoid any more unnecessary stress. Thinking that this would be the end of it and that everything would be ready for the big day we then went ahead and booked a room to stay in the hotel for the night of, and the night after the wedding, only to then be told that we were no longer able to have the discount on the room as this was not included in the package even though when booking the wedding we was told that there would be a discount on the room, again after a few emails back and forth we decided that we had to pay the full price for the rooms as it was now 2 days prior to our wedding and too late to make other arrangements. On the day of the Wedding the groom arrived at the Hotel with his best man only to be told that he was not able to wait in the Blas restaurant and he would have to call the events organiser himself to find out where he was able to wait (this was the first of many unpleasant experiences with Blas manager Nicky during our stay) after a very nervous groom called the events organiser himself he was told that he was able to wait in the winners bar. This is where things got better and one of the only reasons I am leaving 3 stars, on arrival at Winners bar the groom was met by Scott who went above and beyond to make him feel welcome, Scott was accommodating, and happy to help in any way he could, this also continued throughout our stay at the hotel and Scott made us feel very welcome and provided the special bride and groom treatment throughout. When I arrived at the hotel Jake was there to meet me, he made myself and my guests feel very welcome and Jake was just amazing throughout the whole wedding. Jake was present during the wedding and was always happy to help with what ever was needed without even being asked, Jake went above and beyond to make sure the wedding run smoothly and indeed everything went to plan. The Service was amazing the room turnaround went smoothly and the food was good, I feel that this was down to Jake and his fantastic work. When the wedding was over at around 11PM and it was time to leave the room, myself, my husband and 5 of our guests who were also staying in the hotel for the night decided to have a few drinks in the Blas restaurant as we were informed that we were able to

Lovely time away from home. We were treated warm n lovely from arrival. Bed is comfy and the landscape and valley views is amazing and calming. We enjoyed our meals especially the Katsu crab cake and fish n chips. We had Rasul treatment for the 2nd time now at Bryn meadow and so relaxing. We also had massage from lady call Lydia and so professional and knows what she is doing and took my pains I walked in with which was great. Amazing time

What an amazing place, Food was divine. Especially the deserts. And the events manager Alisha couldn't do enough for us. Fantastic customer service by her. She resolved a slight issue I had regarding my booking and resolved it for me. Thank you.

Two couples attended Christmas lunch and tribute act today. Upon arrival there were drinks available Prosecco. Orange juice and selection of beers. Staff well presented and polite. Marquee looked fantastic. Tables all set. Plenty of room to move without bumping into next table of guests. Choice of Starter which arrived promptly. Main course plentiful and very fresh and hot. Desert delicious. Followed by Tea or Coffee with a Mince Pie. Excellent service. Excellent food. I am sure all who attended today would return. Brilliant atmosphere with lots of laughter and dancing. The four of us had a Wonderful day Thank you To all who served us today. PS. The only little thing that I was disappointed in was the tiny Mince Pie, but that’s because I love Mince Pies
