Great stay with a very friendly and helpful Japanese owners that run this Japanese style hotel for the last 15 years (on the south side of the island). They are willing to help even to people that don’t speak Japanese (like ourselves) with their very limited English. Yoron is a great island and definitely a memorable trip.
Overall, hotel is very basic, but you’ll find whatever you need. Recommendations to certainly get a scooter, car or at least a bike.

This time, the boat was canceled and I couldn't stay.
However, when I contacted the inn right away, they were very kind and said please come again😃, and they said there was no cancellation fee.
However, I received a call from Trip.com and they said that the cancellation fee was 100% according to the regulations...😢
They asked me for proof of the boat cancellation and the name of the person who said that the accommodation did not require a cancellation fee, so I called again and emailed them with the proof attached, but in the end it was no use and I had to pay the 100% cancellation fee.
My plans changed suddenly and it was difficult to arrange the hotel and rental car, so I was sad that it was a waste of work.
I thought that the regulations were strict, considering that the people at the accommodation said it was unnecessary and the boat was canceled.
You need to be careful when canceling.
However, the accommodation was very kind, so I definitely want to go to Yoron Island.
Next time, I will think of ways to avoid this from happening again, such as booking directly.
