Great location right overlooking the terraces. Perfect view in the morning. Owner is active in the local tourism industry and is very knowledgeable about the area. Helped us a lot!

I stayed here for two nights with a friend in the beginning of February and we both loved it. This is not a place for luxury, but for great service! The hosts are genuinely kindhearted, open and will help you with anything to make you comfortable. We stayed in a panoramic view room and the location is right above some rice fields, No need to go to the next door viewing platform that charges ¥70, the view from there and from the rooftop were ansolutely amazing!

What a great location for being amongst the terraces! We splurged and got the terrace view room, and it was very nice with a great view, comfortable bed, warm blankets, and hot shower. The room has an unblocked view of the terraces. But if you don't get that room, the upstairs balcony has the very best view. But we enjoyed watching the sunrise from our bed with hot tea.
Lucian is really great! He explained to us different hiking options for seeing other views. His English is really good too so you can ask him any questions about the area. He has a sweet old dog and a cute young cat. He's also available to pick you up if you get lost or have trouble getting back after sunset.
There are 2 good restaurants a 10 minute uphill walk away, or Lucian can cook you meals, which are also great.

Can't recommend this place enough, the host speaks perfect English (very rare for Yunnan) and was very helpful in recomening hikes. Family style dinners were fun as well. and the sunrise view from the roof is out of this world! AND there is an adorable kitten and God that are best friends

The view from the room is really amazing, so it’s perfect if you want to see sunrise over the rice paddies without getting out of bed. However the hotel itself is in a very old traditional house and it’s very musty and smells of damp. Lucian, the owner, is very friendly and can help arrange cars.

Located in the Pugao Old Village in the Duoyishu Scenic Area of Yuanyang Terraces, it takes about five or six minutes to walk from the parking lot to the inn. Call the inn in advance and ask someone to pick you up. It is easy to go wrong when you first come.
The room we stayed in was neat and clean, and the bathroom was large. Unfortunately, there was no door, but it didn't matter if it didn't face the room. Slippers and towels are provided, but you must bring your own toiletries.
The room is great. You can see the terraced fields from the glass window while lying on the bed. You can lie on the bed and watch the sunrise. Unfortunately, we stayed there for two nights because of heavy fog and did not see the sunrise. I will stay here again if I have the chance to make up for it. My regret.
The innkeeper is very enthusiastic and talkative, and even goes out to pick up guests who arrive very late at night.
