Yubari City Deer Valley Residence

Because I chose Yubari, a difficult destination, with the goal of 'seeing snow', there were many things to do before arriving at the accommodation. I missed the timing to get off at Shin-Yubari and had to make an emergency landing at Shimukappu, but thanks to the help of the Shimukappu stationmaster and the accommodation owner, I was able to arrive at Yubari safely! And when I couldn't get to Yubari, they let me stay at another empty accommodation for free. The next day, they drove me to the accommodation I originally booked in their car. I was so impressed by the owner's customer service... Yubari was covered in snow as expected, and it was a very cold and clean town. The accommodation was cold because the town was cold, but it was a memorable travel destination. I was able to leave after making memories that I can cherish for 10 years. Maybe because it was such a cold winter, when I turned on the heater, one or two bugs that looked like stink bugs came in, and the accommodation wasn't very warm either, but there was no major inconvenience in using hot water, etc. I was also able to cook, which was a really good time. Make sure to bring coffee and other things with you to enjoy a leisurely winter at your accommodation. If it's winter, be sure to take a walk around the town. If you like snow, you'll be able to enjoy the clean, quiet, and leisurely atmosphere of the Japanese countryside in winter, undisturbed by tourists. We used public transportation with great interest, but if possible, we recommend visiting by private car or rental car. It's harder than you think to schedule a bus. Even if you plan carefully before your trip, things can go wrong when traveling in the countryside. (If it's your first time in Hokkaido, be sure to bring waterproof hiking boots or winter boots. At the very least, you'll need rubber boots, but your feet will get very cold if you wear rubber boots. It's not uncommon for temperatures in Hokkaido to drop to -10 degrees Celsius.)
