View from both the room and outside is very nice. When I went the sakuras were blooming. The hot spring experience was very authentic and great (it's got views of mountains during the day). Overall a very traditional experience and I feel that it's intentionally designed to be less modern. For example, using physical keys for rooms instead of cards. One last thing I would nitpick about is the meals. The buffet is the same everyday (both breakfast and dinner) so I probably wouldn't stay here for more than 2 days.

A nice quiet ryokan with pretty good onsen and bath facilities. I recommend to stay one night would be enough.

Super nice views ( choose one with Mountain View) and delicious breakfast and dinner with free flow of beer and wine. Free snacks and drinks at lobby which also has massage chairs.

Room is clean and the onsen is wonderful. But the best is the dinner and breakfast! Will come back again!

This onsen hotel look rather old and tired from the outside, but besides that, everything about it exceeded my expectations.
Location is just about a 6-7 minutes' walk from the train station. We stayed in the Japanese style room, which was clean, fairly spacious and overlooking the mountains.
Onsen was good with both indoor and outdoor pools on the ground floor and first floor, swapping between males and females at allocated hours.
As for the dinner, it was simply awesome! It was the standard buffet eat and drink all you can type, except it was not so standard with the standard food and the usual house pour.
Dinner was widespread and high-quality stuff (graded wagyu steak) and a selection of whisky and premium beer lager. (Beer not the usual plastic cups BUT BY THE BOTTLES!) It was no surprise that queues start forming at 5.30pm even though dinner officially only start at 6.
So, if Sansuikan is your pick, make sure you make a reservation with dinner.

For the cost of the hotel room..... i find the amenities quite wanting. There is no air conditioning, only heating, in the room i stayed in. If they expected customers to open their windows for replacing air conditioning, it would have been great if they installed mosquito netting panels as when we opened our windows for air, we had mosquitoes flying into the room.
