The hotel is slightly over 1km from Kirin Lake and the shopping lane but it offers free bikes for use by guests and cycling to the attractions is a breeze from the hotel. In addition, the hotel offers booking for three of their onsen amenities - open air, semi open air and we xtra hot osen. Guest can book the preferred slot at one of the onsen location and by about 8pm, the hotel will allow guests to book any additional slots at any of their onsens. We managed to have slots for all three of the onsens, each was well maintained and provides you to have privacy of quiet onsens. There is a hotel lounge where you can have free flow of cold and old drinks too...

The hotel staff on the first day of check-in said that luggage could only be stored after check-out (10:00) until 12 noon, which is only 2 hours. We found this very unreasonable. Later the next day, I guess it was the boss lady who allowed me to store my luggage until 5pm when I came back to pick it up after the tour, which was much more reasonable. There are 2 cute little cats in the hotel.

I booked Yufuin Akarinoyado in Yufuin, Oita Prefecture, Kyushu on Trip.com to check in on October 23. The room I booked has two single beds and a bunk bed. , I only registered myself when I booked online. In fact, I had a friend staying at the hotel. When I arrived at the hotel, I had to add ￥3,000 to let my friend check in. This is really unreasonable! There is no toilet in the room, and there is no water for washing hands, drinking, or boiling water. We have to use a shared toilet. I live on the third floor and there is no elevator. To drink water, I have to walk from the third floor to the lounge on the basement floor every time. I have to urinate at night. It's very annoying to have to walk to the hotel's public restroom outside the room!

I knew there was no toilet in the room when I booked. I didn't expect that there was no place to wash hands in the public toilet on the third floor!!! The faucet on the toilet tank didn't produce water! It was not repaired. I couldn't even wash my hands after using the toilet!!! To wash my hands, I had to run to other places to find a faucet. I can't stand it! The card for making the bed said that I had to make a mat first, but where was the mat? There was no mat... It was really a very sloppy country hotel. The soup was OK. Yufuin was only busy on one old street, and Kinlin Lake was not as big as Ginchu Lake in Changfeng Park. It was quite strenuous to drag the luggage on the bumpy country roads. It's not worth staying for one night, so you can avoid it. Those who like the countryside can say it differently.
