During the Chinese New Year, my family went on a trip and stayed in a hotel. In an inconspicuous corner of the room, there was a "small pill of unknown substance" left by the previous guest.
I asked the front desk 💁, but they didn't know. There was nothing I could do, so for safety reasons I could only call the police on the spot.
The local police station, criminal investigation, and drug control agencies arrived at the scene, and I went to the police station to take a statement. This whole ordeal seriously affected my travel time and arrangements, mainly because I was in a very bad mood.
This kind of hotel really needs to be avoided.
