In Uluru the accommodations range from sleeping in a tent to super luxury hotel. We chose the campground. (I’m not a tent kind of girl) So we got a cabin. It was extremely reasonable all things considering. It can sleep six even though it was just the two of us. It had a master with a full size bed and another room with two bunk beds. It had A/C, and a space in between the rooms with a large table and kitchen amenities providing everything you need while you are there, except a private bathroom. But there are two buildings a very short walk away with stalls for toilets and showers. The showers had hot water and good pressure. There is also a coin washing machine there. There are shuttles that come about every 20 mins that take you in the circle that is the AR Resort area and can drop you at all the different hotels. We ate at the Pioneer Resort maybe a quarter mile away. Everything is walking distance if you want. There are paths that cut across the circle. Fun to walk and great AR lookout points along the way. There is a main square on the other side of the circle that has a food store if you want to make your own meals. There is a cooking area at the campground across from the cabins. Lots of refrigerators and grills for your convenience. We stayed two nights. Saw a lot of pink cockatoos and amazing constellations. Oh, yeah and there is a swimming pool too. If you don’t need fancy, I fully recommend the campground. Safe, and to me, more fitting for the experience of being in the outback.

THE WORST CAMP I'VE EVER HAD!! For one the camp ground is right next to the big power station that supplies all the power for the whole billion dollar resort.... The $30/night/person, unpowered camping sites are the closest, and it's like a jet plane running all night long.. I didn't sleep one minute my first night there, sleeping in a swag.... The second night I had to sleep in the back seat of my car to get some sleep..... As well as this, I was aggressively approached by their security guard in the middle of the night to put out my little camp fire, I was allowed to have..... The staff couldn't care less, when I told them about it the next morning..... And I don't know why they continue to call themselves "Ayers Rock" Resort, when it is well known that is culturally inappropriate and it should be called Uluru..... If I could do negative stars, I would give it negative 20.

We stayed at the campground in a motor home and really enjoyed our stay. We stayed in March so quite quiet and very hot 40C plus at times. Loved the organisation so all the local trips pick you up from the site. Fly nets are compulsory and this also meant the pool did suffer from flies

not a bad camping area, but if you do not like bright lights, and the sound of the campground generator running near you (when you have a unpowered site), i cannot recommend this area. too many ligths at nights, and lots of generator noise. the whole camping area was nearly empty, but we were put near the generator.

We stayed for 5 nights in the middle of a heat wave. It did not ruin anything. Site was great, toilets and showers were clean, pool was clean. Plenty of staff around doing their work. Twenty minutes from Ayers Rock, 45 minutes to the Olga’s. There is an IGA there for convenience, prices through the roof, so stock up beforehand. I would highly recommend staying here.

Loved the campground, has more than expected and the cabin we stayed in even has basic self catering facilities. The only problem we had is with the whole resort, you can’t actually get to Uluru as the viewed are booked up days in advance! This has meant that we’ve spent thousands of £ coming to Australia and we can’t actually get to Uluru even though we are at the resort for Uluru. This is massively disappointing as none of the staff can do anything, all the hire cars are booked up and the buses are booked, we are left stranded.

Unfortunately, you have to pay the $70 per night as there are no other choices. The campground itself is ok. Cleanish ablutions, big sites, the park was virtually empty which made life easier. The staff at the campgrounds were friendly enough, which can't be said for the majority of the staff at the rest of the resort, miserable comes to mind. There are no other accommodation choices when visiting Uluru. You only have the resort to choose from. They have you by the short and curlies

Very friendly helpful reception. It's quite involved checking in and you get a bunch of papers and a permit to buy alchohol. Tidy campground, we had 2 x powered sites at the back near the amenities. This is quite a busy campground and we had 2 buses of school children in camping the other side of the amenities which made it a little difficult but it was okay. There is a shuttle that runs around Yulara or it's a short walk. Amenities were okay and clean for the most part. No grass at our site. Very quiet. You need to probably book ahead especially in peak season and school holidays.

Our powered site was shady and quiet and the amenities were very good. The staff was pleasant and helpful. We were delighted with our three nights here. What else would I need to say? 200 characters is far more than I need to express my opinion.
