We had the incredible opportunity to stay at this family-owned hotel near Baisha Ancient Town. Built and run by a Naxi family, the hotel radiates authenticity and warmth. From the moment we arrived, the staff (all locals from the community) welcomed us with genuine hospitality, sharing stories about their traditions, daily life, and even recommending hidden gems in the area.
The owners made us feel like part of their family, offering insights into Naxi culture we’d never get at a chain hotel. They also offer home-cooked breakfasts that are delicious, freshly prepared local dishes every morning as well as convenient amenities such as electric motorbike to explore Baisha Ancient Town. We also had direct view of Yulong mountain from our room, waking up to that scenery was unforgettable.

Very friendly owner! Breakfast was so homely and hearty. Waking up to the mountain view and nature view was awesome. The room was on the 2nd floor. Enough for 4 of us. Only note that it’s a little far (25 min drive from Lijiang Ancient Town) and the night drive in is a bit dark. But that’s the beauty of it, away from the hustle and bustle of the town/city.

It was my first time in Lijiang, and this stay was a great experience! The boss and his wife were very attentive, and were patient and meticulous throughout the entire process from check-in to check-out, making people feel very kind. The room was clean and tidy, the bed was moderately soft and hard, the overall layout was simple and warm, and it was very comfortable to live in, with a high cost-effectiveness.
