The Wallaby offers great value for money. It really does feel like a home away from home. Veronica and Bella are wonderful hosts. If you’re keen to support a local family owned businesses with a green ethos and a big heart, this place is for you. Easy stroll to the wonderful Yungaburra markets each month.

Only stayed the one night as I was passing through. The hostel itself was well equipped and nicely laid out. The room itself was a little cramped unfortunately and the sheets didn’t smell nice at all. Which really detracted from the whole stay. However the rate was very very reasonable for the stay.

Relax vibe , lovely people and atmosphere. Clean and well set up. Would definitely go again. Has shops very close, and alot of sites to see especially if you chase waterfalls and hiking. Gallo dairy farm is a must see if your a chocolate lover.

I found the price the greatest feature, that you can work away from home at an affordable rate, also the staff i met there where good people, very bonafide, of good intent. That would be my first choice when looking first budget accommodation.

This place has the best vibe. Everything you need is here. Kayla is a beautiful host who's keeps this place immaculate. Great location, easy walking distance to shops, great showers and kitchen area, Didn't realise it was backpackers but we were welcomed. My first backpackers stay . Thankyou for making it a good experience

Very friendly and welcoming. Great vibe with an indoor outdoor vibe. Big garden with fruit trees and herbs. Rooms are comfortable and great temperature. They had everything you would ever need in the kitchen. Super close to the platypus viewing platform (we saw 3 at dusk) and the grocery store. Yungaburra is also super relaxed and close to many fig trees and waterfalls. Would definitely go back again :)

Well, where do I start?! Myself and 2 of my friends decided to stay here after being let down elsewhere and we couldn’t believe how well we were looked after! We were greeted by 3 very welcoming staff members, Kayla, Carly and Nina…all of which go out of there way whenever and wherever neccasary. The hostel is very well maintained and spotless when it comes to cleanliness. By far the best hostel I have stayed in during my 1st year in Australia. Highly reccomend and will be back!

Nice clean rooms. Carly the host was brilliant. I recommend this place. Nice fire to warm your self. Stayed there one night at Easter. We were made to feel at home and welcome. We even got a free feed as every thing was closed as it was good Friday.
