Ryokan Tarobee

It was late March, so the tourist season in the area was off, but the snow had piled up in the morning and the open-air bath was very picturesque!

宿の方々も気さくにお話ししてくださったり、とても居心地の良い旅館でした。東北のお料理は味が濃いかと思いきや上品な味付けで美味しかったです。

The hot springs are very good, with one indoor bath for both men and women, an open-air bath, a special bath, a private bath, and another open-air bath. The open-air bath is very spacious, overlooking nature, and has good hot water. The food is delicious and uses seasonal local ingredients. For breakfast, you can get yogurt, yogurt drink, and milk every day, which are made at a nearby factory and are incredibly rich and delicious. This is a ryokan that you will want to visit again and again.

・Access: We used the shuttle bus from in front of the East Exit Tourist Information Center of Yuzawa Station. We'll be there in about 40 minutes. On the way back, we were given a ride.・Baths: There are 5 baths, including a private bath (free of charge), so you can fully enjoy the hot springs. Among them, the bath in the detached hut has a great atmosphere.・Meals: We ate in the large room. Dinner was more than I could finish, and it was delicious and very satisfying. Breakfast was also delicious.・Hospitality: Everyone at the inn was kind and provided warm hospitality.・Surrounding attractions: About 5 minutes walk to the Oyasu Gorge entrance. If you walk along the national highway in front of the inn, you will find stairs leading down to Oyasu Gorge. The large hot spring is a must-see. The sight of hot water gushing out from the cliff wall is impressive.
