The people who rented the ski equipment were not professional enough, which made the ski boots I rented very loose,  wasting the first day of skiing, it is not recommended for those who intend to ski here.
In addition, it is good to have a hot spring, but unfortunately the water in the hot spring is not hot enough, which makes the post-ski muscle recovery effect less than other hot springs, this is just my personal skiing experience.
There is a very close bus stop near the hotel that can go to certain ski resorts, but maybe it snowed heavily that day and waited more than half an hour for the car to show up.
But very close to Echigo-Yuzawa Station, very very convenient to eat!

We didn’t stay the night but came for the onsen and a meal after visiting the ski resort. The onsen was good, it had a large supply of creams, shampoos and other bottles. If only the blinds to the outside could be lifted so we could see out. The meal was superb, felt like 15 courses and each one was a little discovery in itself. Wonderful visit and great assistance from the staff about trains back to Tokyo.

Stayed 3 nights with half-board meal plan, it's a smart choice for our ski trip. The hotel is about 10 minute walk from train station, or you can take their shuttle. The room was spacious and very clean, though a little dated. Breakfast and dinner were awesome, delicious meals. The public bath was well maintained and amenities provided. The outdoor bath was great. Saw many happy kids around in the hotel. Looked like the little ones enjoyed their stay too. For skiers and riders: Snow reports posted in lobby daily. Free lockers assigned to your room in the basement. Ski/snowboard rental shop is right next door to the hotel, bill directly to your room. Discounted lift tickets available in the lobby machine, takes cash or IC card (no luck with foreign credit card). Shuttle to Yuzawa Kogen and Gala every morning. Shuttle back to hotel runs every hour.
