My agency suggested and booked this camp for me and I’m so glad that they did! Looking online, looks like tent with half board for one person is ~USD440/night. Started going off road from Foum Zguid and took about 2 hours to get to the campsite. Campsite is set amongst the sand dunes, location is amazing. The tent is spacious with a sitting area, electricity, flushing toilet and shower. They had the twin bed set up but since I was travelling solo, I asked the staff to put the beds together and they arranged it quickly. A sandstorm started when were on our way to the desert camp, fortunately it had calmed down before sunset so off we went for the camel ride, very surreal and tranquil experience and felt like me and the other 2 guests were the only people in the desert. Dinner was amazing, with soup, my favourite kefta tagine and then another chicken tagine, breakfast was also lovely. Staff was all friendly and helpful. Had an amazing stay at Nubia Camp. Side note, I went to both Erg Chegaga and Erg Chebbi on this trip, Erg Chegaga is more difficult to get to but because of this, it is perfect for those who prefer a less touristy experience. For those who choose to go to Erg Chegaga, it’s important to choose your agency carefully and make sure your driver knows Chegaga, some guests got lost as their driver couldn’t find his way to the camp, fortunately my driver had been to Chegaga a number of times and managed to find the campsite even in the sand storm. When we were leaving, another driver asked to follow our car as he doesn’t know the way.

Nubia Luxury Camp has a nice interior with an ensuite bathroom and toilet. However, being a more remote desert, the water pressure was very low. That's made washing hair a challenge. The interior of the tent was very warm even at night in late October. We had to keep the door opened throughout the night. Services by camp staff and dinner were good.

Really, this is the experience of a lifetime. The location is amazing and inspires awe. The tents feel like little hotels and it’s hard to comprehend how everything can be so perfect in a remote desert. We were fed like kings and again a marvel that such food is produced and bought here. The experiences gained here are life long but do make you think hard about how privileged those that can afford this trip are. The camel ride with the walk up the barchan to watch the sunset is completely unique. The staff were faultless and predicted everything we needed before we said anything ( including finding a lost passport)! I’m not sure our musical contribution in any way matched the Berber music in the evening, which we have all acquired a taste for.

We did an amazing 3 day trip from Marrakesh through the mountains to the luxury desert camp. Ibrahim (our driver) made us feel instantly at ease, and took us through all the sites- he also was a fab photographer! We didn’t have to worry about a thing- it was all taken care of. Once we got to the camp we went on an amazing camel experience, and then had dinner and music under the stars. The hosts were amazing, and even set us up 2 beds (one inside one outside) so we could go between sleeping outside and sleeping in the tent. Breakfast was an amazing spread- particularly impressive given we were in the middle of the dessert! Only input would be it would be great for more dinner options aside from tagine. When doing the 3 day tour you have no choice but to eat tagine for all meals except breakfast- so by our 5th tagine in a row we were were struggling to keep eating it (particularly as my travel partner was vegetarian). Amazing experience, would strongly recommend! Special thanks to Ibrahim for making it such a great trip :)

The only “luxury” here is in the name of the property and in the price we paid. Everything else was quite disappointing: the tents and the communal areas were tired and rundown; all of the carpets and sofas were covered in sand; we had to ask at 2pm to make our room (apparently, this wasn’t part of the service); there was no water (either cold or hot) when we woke up at 8.30am (even if we had agreed we would take a shower in the morning the night before). No soap bar in the bathroom, no hair-dryer, no bathrobe. On the positive: abundant food and friendly staff. The location is beautiful.

Nubia Luxury Camp was absolutely fantastic---worth every extra second it took to get there---so grateful to Rebecca for convincing me to take my wife here. It's always been my dream to come to a luxurious tent in the middle of nowhere in the Sahara Desert---be far far far away from other people and tourists--to walk barefoot up dramatic virgin dunes with no one else--and no footprints---in site for miles and miles. The camp is wonderful---the bed/full bathroom w shower and sink and toilet---the bed---all was wonderful. The local Berger men working at the camp were all wonderful, the food was amazing, the camel ride up up and up the dunes was absolutely AMAZING. These are such precious memories that will last a lifetime---thank you Rebecca and Mohamed and thank you Nubia Luxury Camp in Erg Chegaga!

What a lovely stay in the dunes of the Sahara! The accommodations were terrific, the food was scrumptious and the vibe Berberitious. The entire family came away with a strong appreciation for this unique culture and the warmth of the people. Two days passed quickly, sandboarding down dunes, camel trekking, hiking to the top of erg chegaga to take in a beautiful sunset, playing cards and backgammon, joining in on the evening singing and sharing wonderful Moroccan fare. The tents were very comfortable, and so great to have en suite facilities and warm showers in the morning. Thanks to brothers Hossein and Ahmed for taking such great care of us!

We chose Nubia camp for it's en suite bathroom facilities and it did have a regular size, flushing toilet, sink with running water, and shower which, although very weak, had warm water. The arrangements for pickup in M'hamid went according to plan and the food was good in the camp. We stayed for 2 nights and were glad we did because the camp is at least 1 1/2 hrs drive from M'hamid and to do it for one night would have been too much. We did enjoy the quad biking (1200 dh per hour for a 2 person bike), the short camel ride, and fossil hunting with our driver. Some areas for improvement (1) We were never introduced to the camp manager and so we didn't know who to ask for assistance. (2) They didn't make up our tent (we made our own bed) and other than arrival and meals, we were never asked if we'd like a beverage. (3) Good thing because there were about two beers and a few sodas for 8 people staying in the camp! (4) The camp didn't look like the photos for quite a while after our arrival because of 4 days of wind blown sand. We had to shake the sand off of chairs ourselves to sit comfortably and later, the staff shook out the rugs, etc. (5) Our special diet requirements were remembered for the first meal, but not for subsequent meals. (6) The visit to the nomad home involved looking at a couple of goats and then sitting in a tent (with furnishings carried from the camp), waiting for lunch to be served (which also came from the camp).
