Very good experience! Klara and Ivana are super nice and professional. They both speak perfect English and Ivana fluent Japanese! Elegant old building perfectly maintained. Centrally located. You will not be disappointed. Short walk to city square, boutique shopping and the funicular. Drugstore just down the street, you don’t even have to cross! Close to trams and bus, uber can come to your front door.

Although we arrived late in the night, we were warmly welcomed by the staff. Exhausted by our long flight from Singapore via Frankfurt, we were gratefully shown to our rooms and briefed on the facilities. The rooms were neat, spacious and comfortable. The next morning's breakfast which featured a lot of Croatian dishes was a good introduction to our holiday in the Balkans. We thouroughly enjoyed our 2 nights stay here.

We stayed at Amadria from May 1 to May 5. We love Zagreb, and the hospitality here was first class! I recognize Ivana B for her friendliness and ability to find solutions. Always with a smile and a warm demeanor, she happily combined several reservations into one seemless stay. Bravo! The location is also superior. Zagreb is a wonderful European city; a hidden gem. And, Amadria is right in the center of it all!

Our stay here was probably one of the most relaxing, pampered hotel experiences we've had in several years. The hotel is ideally situated for all the major sights in Zagreb and the internal décor is as sumptuous as advertised. Our room was warm, comfortable and well appointed with everything one could need....we were particularly grateful for a telephone/clock, something which is often absent, these days and the bathroom scales which allowed us to check suitcase weight for our flight home. There was a good range of options for breakfast and that was served in a delightful area....however, we found it a little expensive for our dietary restrictions and, therefore, after the first day, opted for the brunch menu a little later and that was excellent. We would have liked to eat in the hotel restaurant, in the evening, but there was no acceptable vegetarian option on the menu.....we gather the chefs are working on that! We have given top marks for the usual categories of cleanliness, value for money etc, but must comment further on the over-riding impression we had of the staff, which made our stay so memorable. Individual names are too numerous to mention and we made a point of thanking those people for their service, before we left, but the standard of attention and the general feeling that this was a happy and professional team was remarkable. Without exception we were treated with respect, compassion and good humour...there really was nothing more any of the staff could have done for us and we really did feel that we were leaving friends, on our departure. We appreciated the visit to the vault and learned so much more about the history of Zagreb and the origins of the hotel itself....once again, we were so grateful for the time afforded us on that particular occasion; so too, for the parting gifts as we left. If time allows, we would have no qualms about returning to Zagreb, as long as this hotel could accommodate us! A huge thank you to all.

We arrived on a wet and chilly day so I left my husband in the car out front and ran in to find a valet and help with the bags. There was no one at either desk in the lobby so I waited. While I stood there, three people in an adjacent room were chatting to each other. I waited a bit but no one came so I ran back out to tell my husband the lobby was empty so it may be a minute or two. I came back into the hotel and stood in the lobby waiting, until I realized those three people, who had been watching me this whole time, worked for the hotel, one was the valet and one was the concierge! They just let me stand there like a fool. Our room was not ready yet so we went to the restaurant for lunch but they wouldn't serve us. They said it was because a large group was checking in soon. Now we were starting to feel very unwelcomed. They did upgraded our room but didn't say why. Just that they hoped it would be acceptable. I have no idea what that meant. The room was very nice though.

Beautiful hotel in central Zagreb. Walking distance to main plaza and old town sights and eateries. Great, well equipped gym. Rooms on 6th floor had a view. Welcome snack and sparkling wine on arrival. Easy valet car service. Caring, competent staff. Would stay again.
