White Olive Premium Laganas

I have only put one circle/star as I cannot put any lower. Lets start with a positive. The staff at reception were helpful and kind. Cleaning staff do their best. On arrival the hotel looks lovely from the outside and after reading previous awful reviews I thought is was going to be ok......I was here for 11 nights. I had emailed previously as my husband uses a mobilty scooter so requested a ground floor room. I asked again at reception and she said she would try and find a suitable room. After half an hour we were shown to the room on the second floor. (Up in the lift we went with the scooter) room looked ok. However having to wait for the lift every time we went out of our room or wanted to go back to it and dealing with guests that were rude about my husband using a mobility scooter, I requested a ground floor room the day after. we were taken to another room at the back of the hotel where the old stuff from the hotel is kept. The room was ok but when i pulled the curtains back there was a massive hole in the glass door. Another room was found in same area (it felt like staff quarters) When I had a shower the whole bathroom flooded, there was water coming out of the wall. I used all the bath towels up to soak water. reported it to reception 24 hours later the maintenance still had not been completed, only discovered this when we showered again (so dangerous with a disabled husband) Reported to reception again. There was a bad smell of drains in the room. Then we had no hot water for a shower and we had been to the beach, i again reported it to reception, maintenance came out and said it would be fixed, however we were still waiting 6 hours later, went to reception who said it had been completed, but i informed them water was still cold, (I had a cold shower to wash salt out of my hair) Eventually I complained to Love Holidays and lo and behold the next day we were moved again. Room was lovely but really needed detailed cleaning, however bathroom still flooded but not so bad. Now for the food. Restaurant on first floor. Only 12 containers of cooked food, I deliberately haven't used the word hot because it was consistently luke warm or cold. Complained several times to reception but it never got better. The manager, when asked said they have difficulty in keeping food hot when it comes out of the oven. Well it would help if the Bain Marie was hot. Not a lot of choice if you do not like your food in a sauce. Even the peas were in a tomato sauce. Breakfast was pretty awful as well, cardboard cornflakes and cheerios and muesli that was just oats and left over cereal. Salads were basic, very little choice as were the desserts. I have been a Chef/Catering manager for over 30 years and I have stayed in some horrible hotels but this just about trumped the lot. We spent all of our holiday money on eating out and I had wanted to do some of the trips but couldn't afford too. I looked for flights every day from day 2 but the were out of my price

Originally this was not our hotel, as other hotel had stopped taking bookings. This is a fairly modern built hotel with four pools. Pool areas were very clean and tidy, rooms and towels were cleaned on a daily basis even on a Sunday. The food was not brilliant but plenty of choice, we were all inclusive but ate out 4 times out of the seven, just for variety. All hotel personnel were very friendly and helpful. Due to it being end of season hotel not too busy, so plenty of sun beds to choose from, beach is very close for those who prefer the beach. On our first day our toilet flush broke, this reported and sorted out within the hour. The only downside was the shower, as no door on shower cubicle and shower room would get very wet. All in all a lovely holiday, don’t believe all the reviews as I had the impression of what I read of hotel not being good, but believe people go away with huge expections and are disappointed when certain areas do not reach their expectations.

This a hotel of 2 halves. The Hotel is very modern and the rooms are so clean and have all the ammenities. The food and drink is very basic. The restaurant is very repetitive, all the drinks are out of a tap where u help Yourself. At breakfast nothing is made fresh, you have to help yourself to precooked food and drinks from a machine……this is not what u expect from a 4 star hotel!! The snack bar had 4 options, precooked hotdog, toastie, cold Greek salad or pot of jelly. The drinks were awful too. We ate out every night as if we had ate in the hotel this would have ruined our holiday!!!

I’m amending my review, as the first didn’t mention any of the good points..so let’s start there. The rooms in the new part of the hotel are very nice. Also, the staff are wonderfully helpful, happy, and welcoming; a special mention to Mary at the pool bar for being so friendly and happy every day… Unfortunately this doesn’t detract from what can only be described as a diabolical all-inclusive package. We stopped eating the restaurant (term used loosely ) food after day 2 (obviously an added expense to the holiday) as it is the cheapest cuts of meat and produce that I honestly wouldn’t feed to my dog. The drinks are the lowest grade alcohol that are just vomit and headache inducing, although purchasing premium alcohol is cheap at the hotel (again added cost). The snacks consist of dry, stale sandwiches. I ask if there was any sauce to liven the stale offering, to be told a blank no! Despite the efforts of the lovely staff, this hotel only offers all-inclusive and is the worst I’ve ever experienced. Honestly the location and the hotel are lovely, the all-inclusive lets it down. If you stay here request to stay in the new part of the hotel and be prepared to eat out.
