Airone Residence

The structure is very nice but not well kept. The cleanliness leaves much to be desired. Everything came out under the beds and we had to clean the bathroom ourselves. Furthermore, apart from the very kind girl at the reception, the rest of the staff (especially at the bar) were rude and not very helpful. I would not go back.

Positive aspects: The location of the residence is very convenient, right in front of the path that leads to Zambrone beach; the markets (two) right near the entrance to the residence, the pharmacy and the fishmonger, allow you not to take the car for these needs. If desired, in front of the entrance there is the Zambrone train station complete with a bar and a good ice cream shop. The residence's kitchen equipment is well-stocked: there is also an oven and a microwave. Good reserved parking spaces, one closed with a barrier and the other with a gate. Good swimming pool with sea view. Negative aspects: Having stayed last year in an apartment with a side sea view and having found it relatively well, this year we booked well in advance (1 January 2022), ensuring a seafront apartment, but upon arrival, the the large window in the living room overlooking the sea was ruined and did not allow a view of the sea unless it was opened; pointing out the problem to the person who welcomed us, we were simply told that it was a problem with condensation on the double glazing and that there was nothing they could do about it (we highlighted that they should have done maintenance before the guests arrived); the balcony of the living room overlooking the sea did not have awnings, so from 12.30 pm (around this period) until sunset (or so), you had to stay with the internal darkening curtains closed to avoid being bothered by the sun in the face even at lunch (fortunately we had our own umbrella which we used to partially cover the discomfort); the shower in the bathroom was very small (60x60 cm), not allowing entry to a person of robust build, and preventing movement for a person of average build. The first washing machine we did, the balcony flooded because the drain pipe was broken (again due to poor preventative maintenance), fortunately the maintenance worker intervened promptly, so we took the opportunity to have him restore one of the two non-working ceiling lights in the living room. The swimming pool with sea view was equipped with a bar whose opening times were not reliable, however, not guaranteeing the possibility of having breakfast or having a coffee after lunch. Unfortunately the sea was not clean this year.
