because the rooms were outdated, the price was to high is my opinion. the airconditioning in one of the rooms was blowing right on our faces.

The lodge has brought to us a dream of Africa not mentioning the animals we have seen, the best guide we had on Safari, the excellent food, the friendliness and warm welcome of the whole staff! Compliments to all of them pls continue!!

On our arrival we were greeted by Agnes who gave us a wet towel to refresh ourselves and a glass of juice. Shortly we went on our first drive with Elliot, what a lovely man who is knowledgeable and funny and his sole aim is to make your safari as wonderful as possible. He also makes fabulous G&Ts. Back at the lodge you are served by staff who greet with a smile every time and can’t do enough for you and the food is out of this world. I really can’t praise this place enough. I can’t wait to go back with my daughters.

We’ve just come back from 4 nights at Motswiri and what a fantastic time we had. We decided to fly up to the reserve, which was organised for us by the lodge. Great experience in itself. The lodge is full of character and the individual rooms very spacious with decking overlooking the watering hole and the bush. The staff were great and engaging, and the food really good. But the game drives as with any safari are what makes the whole holiday, Bill and Dan were so knowledgeable- we actually saw the big 5 on our first morning. The lions were possibly the highlight amongst many highlights and we’ll never forget the cubs playing on the tree branches.

An unmissable experience from the quality of the lodge to the excellent food and above all the tremendous staff. The daily game drives were superb and Barry was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the animals and environment.

What a great first time safari experience. Very personal service as there are only a few rooms here. The watering hole, visible from the terrace was always interesting - visitors included night time rhino with her baby, parades of elephants and many others. Plenty to see if you didn’t even leave the terrace. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The daily game drives at 5.30am and then 3.30pm were varied and interesting. Mornings punctuated by hot drinks stop and evenings by sunset drinks. We saw so many fantastic animal dramas including fabulous elephants, rhino, cheetah, hyenas and the fabulous lions eating a kill. I cannot compare to other safaris but this was a fabulous experience. The open fire meal and singing from the staff were also incredible. The managers and staff were all excellent. Thank you all - can only hope to return.
