The Neue Post is a lovely hotel in a great location, 5 mins walk from Zell Am See station which is perfect if you’re taking the train from Salzburg which we did - I highly recommend that journey. The hotel is ideally situated less than 5 mins walk (in ski boots) to the nearest lifts. Our room (311) was lovely, clean and modern but also cosy, with a great view over the lake. The church bells at 7am every morning could be annoying if you didn’t want to rise that early but it served as our wake up call. Food at the hotel was plentiful and delicious but, in my opinion, maybe a tad “high end” and rich for a ski holiday. I could have done without the 5 courses, with the fancy piped potatoes and veg and had 2 more traditional, simpler, dishes. But that is just my opinion and hats off to the chefs who are no doubt, very talented. Breakfast was lovely with a good selection of hot and cold dishes, pastries, fruit, pancakes, yoghurt, cheeses and meats. More than enough to satisfy everyone’s needs. But the selling point for the hotel has to be the superb spa! Warm, inviting and an abundance of options - at least 3 different saunas (one with panoramic views over the lake), the best aromatic steam room I’ve ever experienced, a jacuzzi, solarium and the best bit for me, the wonderful, adult only relaxation zone upstairs with comfortable day beds. All great so far. However, I have to now add a negative comment, much to my chagrine. The total relaxation vibe in this area was completely spoiled on our last day by a group of lads enjoying beers and card games in the area. We complained to reception, no action was taken. The hotel let itself down on this point. There were also a group of Irish youths who found it amusing to leave the door wide open, jump on the beds then leave. This makes me sound like a right moaning Minnie but we had enjoyed such a fabulous experience the day before, it was completely ruined the next day. I would suggest a member of staff intermittently checks the area to ensure the rules are being adhered to. If I’m perfectly honest, I’d rather the whole spa area be kids free or at least have an hour or so when it’s adult only - the jacuzzi was constantly full of kids. One final point - we were led to believe that afternoon tea was included, which wasn’t on offer. I think that was an error on the part of our tour operator, not the hotel, and we were given a bottle of wine to compensate which was a very nice gesture. Ending on another positive note - because this really is a lovely hotel - the staff are exemplary, especially the young waiting staff in the restaurant. Thank you!

I stopped by for a short trip to the mountains and due to the spontaneous booking I got a family suite equipped with a very stylish bathroom, bedroom, a large kitchen/living room and even an extra toilet (all very clean). The balcony has amazing views over the surrounding mountains and town. The receptionist was friendly and with the very attentive ladies at the breakfast it was no problem to get breakfast earlier to get ready for the mountains. Thanks to the perfect location all public transport is reachable in no time.

I am vegan and have previously struggled to find food on ski holidays but this hotel was brilliant. Every night that made me a delicious vegan meal and they were all excellent. The hotel was exceptionally clean and smelt really nice and the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Highly recommend this place

The Hotel was definitely one of the best holiday experiences I have ever had, having traveled extensively over Christmas I can truly say this really was a unique and unforgettable experience. The modern but cozy style is clean and crisp, with special care for every detail ranging from the spacious , inviting lobby including large marble tables, a comfortable romantic fireplace modern art, to an extensive and lively bar ...and some great live music. The Staff is extraordinary friendly and professional, family oriented and dynamic, looking after your every needs. Much appreciated when traveling with family! The rooms are spacious and clean, modern and equipped with lovely accessories. The restaurant and the whine selection is on point, making sure everyday is a culinary experience...much deserved after a long day skiing, which by the way is just a minutes walk distance from the hotel to the skiing lifts. A very special mention from my part is the spa-area, which is in my opinion one of the best spa-amenities I have experienced at a hotel or a retreat for that matter. A wide selection of saunas, steambath, jacuzzi, pool and even a large chill out area to relax and unwind after a session in the sauna overlooking the alps. The Hotel is situated right in the heart of the romantic town of Zell am See, easy to locate and surrounded by bars and restaurants. This Christmas we were blessed with fantastic snowfall and great weather which naturally made the holiday even more exceptional as the vast resort is suited for all level skiers, even the youngest. A great place for families and couples and a truly unforgettable experience that I can highly recommend!

We stayed from 21st to 28th December 2024 with our two kids. The hotel was excellent. Food was top class every evening. Great spa facilities and very close to ski shops and lifts. The owners and staff were also a pleasure to deal with. Only possible recommendation to improve experience would be to have an extra food choice for kids in the evenings but overall the best ski holiday experience we have had and we have booked in for next year already

We have just come back from a four night stay at the hotel. The hotel was still updating some of the facilities which we were not made aware of prior to our stay which meant we were unable to use the gym. However this did not impact our enjoyment of our stay. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel is ideally located for the skiers and non skiers in our family. We stayed in a superior room with our 18 year old and it was perfect. The spa area is lovely.

Im the daughter of the family who went. We went with me, my bestfriend (teenager) my dad, my dad's girlfriend, my dads girlfriends son and his girlfriend. We found the hotel very plesent and would definately go again, to which infact we are thinking of going in 2011 and would definately be staying in the same hotel (neue post). As for the food... We only ate in 1 night as we went self catering, but found that there was so many restraunts around that we ate out each night anyway. Although the one night we did eat in the hotel it was very nice. All german foods as for things like soup and salad, but nothing to complain about. It was my first time going on a skiing holiday as i have only been taught in England the year before. I had never eaten German food, but if you could buy the things in England, they would definately be on my shopping list. The staff at the hotel were excellent. The cleaners were quick, but one of the best staff had to be Wolfgang. I know wierd name and if I'm being honest doesnt look like the guy he is :). His job is the bar man but he is very helpful and is always there to get you your drink :L He's forever working too as it seems. But enough of wolfgang, the hotel facilities... well the boot/ski - room... it was very handy. Its just down a corridor and there is a door from the bootroom with leads to outside. Although we only kept our boots in here as there are lockers up the mountain where we met each day and If I remember rightly they were very cheap and very safe. None of our stuff moved. We only did this for convinience as there are around 10 steps to carry them up and a small but slipy walk along the road to the bottom of the mountain, then a further 20 small steps unto the gondolar and as a first time skier at the resort didnt fancy having to do that ever morning. The spa - is AMAZING. That is the only way to describe it! My and my bestfriend were in there every night after skiing. There is an age limit of 14 after 7 o clock unless with an adult but there is a steam room, a sauna, a jacuzi, sunbeds and showers. My and my friend found that there is a drink in there. We were abit wary of it at first and didnt know it was a drink as it looked to have pebbles in it, but we saw someone get a cup full and drink it so we decided to go and have a try. Im glad we did. It was a soft drink (water like), it was a pinky colour and tasted abit like flavoured water in England but much much better. The swimming pool - Well... dont forget to take your shoes and a towel or clothes to come back in. We forgot the first time and had to make a run through the snow in just our bikini's. The pool is lovely and refreshing and considering its snowy outside, when your in the pool it definatly doesnt feel that way! The rooms - Well there was 6 of us so had an apartment like suite. We had a double room with an ensuite with is where the parents stayed, and twin room in with there was a toilet room just across the suite landing, a double sofa be
