The Rex

The hotel offers a shuttle service with an electric cart, allowing guests one ride from the station to the hotel and one back to the station. You need to call or email to book your arrival time. There was a car with the hotel's name on it at the station, but it was empty; the front desk clarified that wasn't their shuttle. The single room I booked didn't have a view of the Matterhorn. Inside, there's a spa and a pool. The spa requires a swimsuit; I didn't go in, but it felt like a hot spring. Although Trip.com stated that the credit card payment was for a deposit, it was actually the direct payment for the hotel stay. The room provides complimentary bottled water – one sparkling and one still – as well as a sparkling beverage, all of which you can take with you. Breakfast is very generous, featuring the hotel's homemade sourdough bread. There's also a bakery within the hotel that's open to the public. Luggage storage is available.

The view of the Matterhorn from the balcony is absolutely stunning. There's a bakery on the first floor of the hotel. The bread for breakfast is delicious, and there are plenty of other options as well.

Very satisfactory experience, great environment, open the window to see the scenery, this is my most perfect experience in this trip to Switzerland
