The room was incredibly spacious with breathtaking views from the window. The bathroom had a bathtub, and the shower pressure was surprisingly strong for a high-altitude location, which was very comfortable. The breakfast and dinner, included with the stay, were different every day and delicious. Catching the sunrise in the morning is an exclusive experience for guests, and on the last day, I even got to see the 'Morgenrot' (alpenglow), which was absolutely amazing. On Thursday evenings, there's a free stargazing event with commentary from University of Bern researchers, where you can admire the beautiful night sky through the hotel's top-floor telescope.

I specifically booked a room with a Matterhorn view, but was extremely disappointed to find a metal scaffolding directly obstructing the view from my window. The hotel did not notify or explain this either prior to my arrival or during check-in. Furthermore, the dinner main course offered no options, consisting only of cheese, pickles, and three small potatoes.

We were rather put off going into our room as it had a bad smell to it and the bathroom in particular and surmised because of this, that something wasn't clean perhaps the carpet or drains to the toilet.
On the other hand the staff that served us for the evening meal and breakfast were polite and humorous and looked after us well so we cannot complain on this. We are happy to help you with the survey but don't want our names published please!.

The hotel boasts incredible views and a perfect location! It was truly special to witness the Matterhorn's sunrise and sunset without any other tourists around, making it an incredibly rewarding and enjoyable experience.
