Staying in this small, family-owned hostel was one of the highlights of my time in China.
The host was friendly and welcoming and made every effort to ensure I had a comfortable stay. She even kindly explained the various sections of the national park and helped plan a route for me to follow (with a cup of tea), which was very helpful.
The rooms were clean and well kept, with air conditioning and a large window. There was also a free laundry service.
Although the location is about a 20 minute walk from the park entrance (East Gate), I don’t see why this an inconvenience at all as it is located in a quiet part of town with many nice restaurants and shops nearby, and you will be walking all day in the park anyway.
I think this type of accommodation is fitting for a trip in the mountains, instead of staying in large and impersonal hotels.
I highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.
