We stayed three nights to explore the Zinal / Grimentz ski area. The hotel was a great base, centrally located in the village. The boot room to the side of the hotel means you are right on the slopes, by the sledging hill and can access the main lift very easily. Large spacious boot room with a locker for each room with boot driers. The male receptionist was very welcoming and friendly, answering all questions very well. We had a double room with a single bed for our 12-year-old son, which was a bit cramped as we left the booking too late, so we will be booking a triple room next time. The room is nothing fancy, but fitted our needs perfectly. Small balcony with lovely mountain views and we enjoyed watching the piste bashers at night preparing the pistes. Good shower and plenty of storage. Breakfast was good: cereal, fruit, bread, ham, cheese, eggs etc. We had booked half board, but the restaurant menu was so good we ate off it for the other two nights. The restaurant is also open to the public and has a good variety. Delicious pizzas and the meat fondue was a real treat with venison, beef and lots of homemade sauces. The hotel is right in the centre of the village, beside a well-stocked supermarket and near bars for apres ski. We tried the spa one night: jacuzzi, steam room and hammam, but it is not suitable for kids, so went to the public pool another night instead. There is long-stay parking across the road, which was handy. Thank you for a lovely stay and we hope to be back soon.
