Szépia Bio & Art Hotel is an average hotel with the minimum comfort of a 4* hotel. I’d say it’s rather a 3*+. The hotel is clean and quiet, the staff helpful, the food delicious and the wellness section OK (not comparable to other bigger 4* wellness hotels but when it comes to price/value ratio, Szepia hotel would win). The wellness part has an open door pool, which is definitely a pro but the indoor part is rather small for the size of the hotel. It must be too crowded on a winter long weekend. However, I do have few annoyances to report: minibar fridge was hell noisy. The fitness room is small and not well equipped, I missed the paper towels.

The hotel overall is not bad but for the place it is located it is expensive. It is practically immersed in nothingness for km there is nothing but countryside. If you arrive internally as in my case, you are forced to take the hotel shuttle and travel which is not cheap but convenient. Tiny room, internet a disaster, Wi-Fi is non-existent. I tried to resolve it with the reception but unfortunately there was no way and only for one day they offered me the boarding room to work for the rest of the week it was a nightmare. At the reception they don't speak English but only Hungarian, luckily a lady spoke at least a little Italian but we didn't solve anything there. The breakfast was terrible, nothing sweet, no oat milk, nothing gluten free, even though I pointed it out they still didn't provide anything for intolerances. Not bad a la cart dinner, little choice but good meat. The dinner included at the buffet is nothing special and is suitable for those with intolerances. The property has an indoor and outdoor pool which didn't seem bad to me.
