Trip in Ho Chi Minh City - Day 1

Day 1: Breakfast - Central Post Office - Notre Dame Cathedral - Lunch - City Hall - Central Street - Dinner – Ho Chi Minh Square 1️⃣ Started the day with a coffee at Trung Nguyên Legend Café. This brand is found all over Ho Chi Minh City and is considered a fantastic local coffee chain. And, the one near Notre Dame Cathedral is special because it has an indoor beach, allowing you to feel relaxed by the seaside in the heart of the city. 2️⃣ Then, I headed to the Central Post Office, which isn't far from the coffee shop. On either side of the post office, you can handle postal services, while in the middle, you can find various souvenirs. 3️⃣ Right across from the post office is Notre Dame Cathedra. The cathedral was built in 1877 during the French colonial period. 4️⃣ For lunch, I dined at RUNAN, a restaurant next to Notre Dame Cathedral. I ordered a Berry Smoothie, Prawn and Pomelo Salad, and Grilled Prawn with Vietnamese noodles. It was quite delicious. Address: Số 3 Công xã Paris, Phường Bến Nghé, Quận 1, TP Hồ Chí Minh 5️⃣ After lunch, I explored City Hall, and nearby was Central Street, which felt like Paris's Champs-Élysées. After some tiring sightseeing, I found another corner café to relax. Vietnamese coffee is generally quite delicious, and any random café I chose was good. 6️⃣ Dinner was a casual affair with street food such as egg pancakes, rice balls, and grilled meat. After eating, I strolled to Ho Chi Minh Square. The City Hall was even more beautiful at night, and I took some photos before returning to the hotel.

#vietnamtrip The shop has both indoor and outdoor space, spacious, well-arranged tables and chairs and many power outlets. Simple but modern space, delicious drinks, most of the seats are hard seats so it is suitable for meeting friends for 1 hour. Convenient location, 2 fronts with gardens so there is a lot of natural light. Suggestion is that the Roastery shop staff should know a little about coffee knowledge so that when customers ask what beans they are using, they can answer. The staff is friendly, quick and attentive to customers. Delicious drinks, fragrant and smooth matcha combined with fragrant and fatty coconut milk. Plus point is that there is filtered water for customers. Regarding the design of 𝗔𝗻 𝗖à 𝗣𝗵ê, the current shop only has 1 ground floor, the interior of the shop as well as the front facade are small tables and chairs mostly made of wood, the shop area is also small. It's too spacious, I think the maximum capacity is about 30 guests. The space inside the restaurant doesn't have air conditioning but I found it quite cool even though I visited the restaurant at noon. Going back and forth, I still like the front of 𝗔𝗻 𝗖à 𝗣𝗵ê the most, it's small and pretty in some way but I don't know how to describe it properly 😅. 📋About 𝗔𝗻 𝗖à 𝗣𝗵ê's menu, it includes machine-brewed and traditional coffee dishes, in addition to juices and fruit teas. The prices of drinks here are also very reasonable. Nestled deep in a quiet alley in Binh Thanh, the space is spacious, gently catching the sunlight, extremely beautiful. I've frequented it numerous times, and with each visit, I have unique experience with warm welcoming, cozy atmosphere, delicious pasta and even music playing there. Everything is simply delightful. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cosy dining experience in Saigon. The staff is so kind and caring. The parking lot is spacious.

#vietnamtrip Different from crowded, noisy shops. Hidden on Pham Huy Thong road, a small, cute and warm space that will attract those who need tranquility. Lava coat on me warm brown tone, dominating concept of galaxies, planets. Elegant and interesting at the same time. Drinks + price: reasonable, over 30k. The other day I ordered 1 Butterfly Jasmine Tea 55k (dark tea taste if anyone who likes tea is more than my friend, it feels a bit difficult to drink, there is a thick cream cheese layer) 8/10 + 1 Cake flan 39k (cake layer on top The chocolate cake layer is quite delicious, the flan cake is quite fat on the bottom ) 8/10 . I am so glad that a place like this exists. Especially in a country like vietnam which grows and consumes so much coffee. Our host Julia definitely made the experience fun and super easy. Loved the recipes they shared as well. We made 4 different concoctions from varieties of Vietnamese coffee. This is a very intersting interaction with people who are passionate about coffee. I like how the class was a journey of how Vietnam’s coffee culture started and how it continues to grow even after the pandemic. This experience didn’t just teach me to make coffee but loved the coffee culture here even more.Definitely a fun and memorable experience. Not to be missed! #vietnamtrip #coffee #saigon
